Crony had moved behind the den to behind another round of practicing his fishing, though by the time he reached his destination, his enthusiasm had petered out considerably. Now he just stood there; Ankle deep in the dancing water, under the dying light of the setting sun. He'd been able to catch a few fish, though lost his appetite after the first one. Gaze set deep in the water, ass lowered to the rocky ground, water soaking into his ass fur. Water was still fairly warm, retaining the heat given by the sun's rays, though it'd be cold as fuck once he stood up. That probably wouldn't be for a while though. Unless something- or someone- managed to convince him to move. At the moment, he had an oddly pensive expression on his face. It seemed out of place, not usually the one to think so deeply about things. But recent events spurred something in him. Mind drifted back to the situation in the courtyard- the one he'd been forced (not really) to watch, unable to do anything about it. At least that would have amounted to anything. For some reason it sparked feelings of jealousy in him. It never really happened to him. He hadn't formed any strong bonds with anyone, outside of regular friendships. It was just no strings attached flings. So why did he feel this way? Seeing Smug caught up in the arms of the Drak look-alike hadn't bothered him at the time- in fact he'd enjoyed it quite a bit. A hands free show. But now... it bothered him. The feelings were obviously there at the time, laying dormant in him- why had he cared that the male was around her during her heat? Usually he wouldn't have given a shit. But he tried to do something about it. Granted it completely backfired because the woman charged right into what he'd tried to keep her out of. Unwavering gaze would continue to bore into the water as the male carried on with his brooding.
Smug headed out for a nice jog before beginning her nightly routine of border control. Paws settled into a steady pace until muscles began to burn pleasantly. The healing scars on her side and hip had flared up in a less pleasant but still tolerable ache. Tongue lolled out in a pant as she came to a walking pace and calmed herself down. It had felt good to just be able to run with no thoughts or feelings plaguing her. Only the wind and the darkening sky had been her company that evening. Finally she allowed thoughts to drift back to the events of the past week. She skipped right over the convoluted feelings associated with Vad and instead focused on the positives that had clear emotions tied to them. She was a Soldat! FINALLY she had ranked up in the pack. She hadn't expected the promotion at all, and it had seemingly come from nowhere, but woman suspected that her part in the bear hunt had sealed the deal. She had saved the Tsar's life after all, AND dragged all their broken asses home. That had been some workout... Mmm yes. Memories of the fight sent delightful shivers down her spine. Of course she might not have realized the rush it had given her at the time, since she was busy trying to keep her pack mates alive, but looking back she almost missed it. Almost. Not only was she now Soldat, Vadimir had also informed her of his plans to train her in the ways of the Voin! How exciting. Smug wondered if he had taken others under his wing... she doubted it based on how he had offered. He'd even had a touch of possessiveness in his voice... Mmm.. NOPE. Stop right there. That was a path that led to confusion and frustration. Shake of the head was offered as she rounded the outcropping that their den was nestled in to grab a quick drink to quench her thirst. Oh! She was not alone. Crony came into view and the woman hesitated a moment, noticing how deep in thought he seemed to be. Instead of purposely disturbing him, dusty woman would skirt his figure and approach the bank a few meters down from his statuesque frame, lowering head to sip at the cool water.
Crony was so deep in thought, the other wandering onto the scene would almost go unnoticed. However when the newcomer began lapping up water, the obvious noise alerted him to their presence. Gaze would move to them in a calm manner, though once he found who it was, breathing paused for moment. Fluffnub would give an involuntary wiggle, much like the thump he felt in his heart. However he knew she was much less enthusiastic about seeing him, made apparent by her having no interest in sparing any attention for him. Gaze would lower back to the water, though head would remain slightly in her direction. After an awkward moment of sitting in silence, however, he'd break it. He'd clear his throat and deliver a clear greeting. "Hello, Smug." He tried to keep his tone calm, though some gladness to see the woman leaked through.
Smug would have her fill of water then raised head to swipe tongue along her maw before his words reached him. Oops. She hadn't wanted to disturb the thoughts he had been focusing so hard on. A tentative smile touched lips while head dipped in greeting. "Good evening," she replied while body moved closer to him though remaining on the shore. "Didn't mean to disturb you," she carried on after a moment, haunches lowering her into a sit. Part of her was curious as to what he might have been thinking about, but it just wasn't in her nature to ask questions or pry. She had been raised in isolation with little contact with others besides to fight and kill. Talking was definitely not her strong suit.
Crony eyes remained on the water's surface, though the exaggerated beating of his heart couldn't be ignored. He'd never felt this before, not like this. Gaze flickered back to the woman when they offered a greeting in turn, though not for long. Stubby tail would give another shake before he could regain control of it. "Don't worry 'bout it... I've been sittin' here thinkin' long enough anyways." More awkward silence... chit chat wasn't his strong point. Especially not now with these... different feelings. After some moments of sitting quiet, legs would move to lift him from sitting position though it was much less graceful than intended. Footing was lost for a moment on the slippery rocks, nearly causing him to flop onto his side- though thankfully he was able to right himself just in time. Smooth. At the quickest pace possible he'd move onto dry land and shake the excess water from his fur. As a breeze passed by, however, he'd get the chill he suspected he'd get. A shiver ran through him, though not enough to show much. Nostrils caught the scent of the other fish nearby that he had no remaining interest in. "There's a couple fish here if you want 'em." A nod was given in their direction after he spoke. He'd lower himself into a sit again, this time on dry land, to keep the wind off of it.
Smug nodded at his words, thoughts flicking back to her own inward conversations. "Thinking too long is not always a good thing," she said with a small chuckle and shake of the head. It was meant for both of them. All it served to do was confuse her further most times, or get her so wrapped up in her head that she forgot about reality. Overthinking could lead to bad outcomes. Vad and Mon had been a prime example of that. She had assumed that they had thought so little of her when they were trying to double team her, but calling dibs and talking about her like she wasn't there or worse like she was just some plaything. Her confrontation with Vad the day after had proved her very wrong as he was also hurt by those assumptions. She hadn't known accusing him of having no respect for her would strike such a sensitive chord. It was still a weird thought to her but she didn't want to delve into that any time soon... That also just brought up mixed feelings that were nigh impossible for the woman to decipher. Cron's movements brought her back to the present and woman suppressed a chuckle. "Thank you," she replied to the offer and rose to snatch one. Bringing it back over, Smug settled onto her stomach with fish between paws. "So... Why didn't you penetrate me like Vad when you fucked me?" she asked, striving to remain casual. A small snicker would ghost her features at such a crude conversation but to hell with the world. Teeth would dig in to the meal quickly.
Crony watched as the woman moved closer to snatch one of the fish before retreating again. Tail would give more wiggles, accompanied by the sound of heartbeats growing faster when the woman was nearby. "Ahh, no problem." Not long after his heart had finally slowed again, Smug popped out an extremely unexpected question. It had caught him off guard to say the least. Flashbacks to the first time they had met, and the little show he'd gotten rushed back to his mind, filling him with a familiar burning desire. Along with the familiar rush, that same strange pang of jealousy hit him. Why hadn't he? He couldn't. After regaining some of his composure, he spoke. "Because I was born female. Like you. I don't have a dick." If he did have one, you could sure bet he would have buried it in her, the same why that other male had. "It's kind of a... delicate subject." The thought of being able to do such a thing brought about another strange feeling- one he'd struggled with in the past. Dyphoria. He thought he'd come to terms with it, though it was always there in the very back of his mind. And Smug had managed to hammer it right to the front. Though he was born with a female body, he'd never really felt like one. Of course he was subject to the female biology and thought patterns, apart from lacking reproductive abilities. Even with the unpleasant relived feelings, the burning cravings grew stronger, making sitting still a task. The tension would eventually grow to be too much, making him rise up on his feet once more. He'd begin to do what Smug had done the first time he'd seen her. Needing to expel some of this surge of energy, paws would carve out a path as he began pacing along the riverbank. He wasn't moving at a very quick speed, though his agitation would be obvious to anyone.
Smug finished off the fish fairly quickly before so that Cron would have her full attention. "Gotcha," she would reply in answer to the dick question. The concept sort of confused her but at the same time it made complete sense. It felt right when Cron said it. There was no doubt that Smug identified as a female, even if she could act as idiotic, dominant, and bullheaded as a male at times. The woman opened her mouth to ask another question but his words cut her short. Ohh... "Sorry to have brought it up then." Way to go girl. Facepaw. Although her voice held sincerity, she didn't shy her gaze away or act embarrassed or anything. No, she was actually quite at ease with the subject even if the answers had been odd ones. Her posture held one of neutrality and relaxed muscles. But if the other said that was enough of that, then so she would listen. Head lowered for tongue to swipe over forelegs and chest to delicately clean any signs of the sushi from her fur. Once she had finished, olive eyes found Cron once more and watched as he paced back and forth. "Would you like to spar?" She ventured forth with head tilted to the side. Smug thought it was the subject matter that had set him off, completely oblivious as to what was really the problem.
Crony. Path would be continued beside the river. Every time he turned to face the woman, the urge to move next to her grew- though he fought it, and turned back to move in the the opposite direction every time. But why? Nearly on the same subject, Smug would pipe up with another question. He'd stop in his motions, turning to look back at her. "Spar...?" He'd calmly turn his body towards her again. Though the male's intent wasn't to start a fight, no. A relaxed pace would carry him the relatively short distance next to her... what he'd do next, even he wasn't sure. "Not quite." Between the thumping in his chest, and the swimming emotions in his head, it wasn't easy to sort through everything. It was like a rush, and it was only growing stronger the longer he didn't do anything about it. Half of him enjoyed the feeling, yet the other half just wanted it to end. Both sides wanted to do something about it. If the woman would permit he'd step even closer, nub wigging slightly automatically. Nose would be moved to touch the lass' cheek, and if she didn't move away, tongue would escape maw to run along said cheek. Once this act was finished, he'd step back and guage the woman's reaction. Cro, wtf u doin'.
Smug watched as the male turned towards her. There was an odd note in his voice that she couldn't quite decipher. Paws pushed her up into a sit when he approached, unsure of his intentions as he had an intense gaze to his eyes. Eyes narrowed slightly at his answer. What the hell did that mean? When he stepped even closer, gaze found his fluffnub wiggling something fierce and when he turned to touch her cheek, his intentions were made clear to her. Oh. Seriously? She allowed the touch to her cheek, fighting the urge to growl. As soon as she felt his tongue, head whipped with parted jaws to attempt to clamp down around his muzzle while foreleg came up to wrap around his neck. Hind legs pushed off as she threw her weight against him in an attempt to force him to the ground. "Fine," she growled through her hold. This time it was her turn to dominate him. You're my bitch now.
Crony was actually a bit surprised when Smug didn't up and run off at his approach. But hey, he wasn't complaining. Chance would be taken, and kiss would be given. However when the woman's teeth shot out to grab his muzzle, it caught him a bit off guard. A few notes of a whine would escape his maw before more it morphed into the usual moans. When the leg was wrapped around his neck, he'd feel her push her weight into him; He tried his best to keep upright, but she'd gotten the drop on him. After a few little hops from trying to regain footing and balance, his legs gave out, and down he went. With a thump he'd land on his side, and if Smug had kept her hold on his muzzle he'd feel the sting of clamped teeth shifting on his skin. Throat emitted a playful growl, nub of a tail still wigging behind him. But he wouldn't play easy this time. Back end would curl up, giving him leverage to roll onto his back. His forelegs would shoot up, and assuming Smug still had the hold on his muzzle, they'd aim to wrap just behind the woman's skull. Hind legs would be pressed against the other, muscles working to keep her from what she wanted. Even though he wanted it desperately as well. But he'd worked for his, even if it was a short struggle; he didn't just take a cheap shot and run. Growls with an undertone of moaning would continue from the male, as he worked at keeping the woman's pelvis at bay.
Smug felt the stirrings of desire blossoming within her, warming her gut. By the time she successfully toppled the male and he had rolled on his back, she knew there was no turning back. The cravings of release were building within her body. She kept the hold on his muzzle, scraping teeth against soft flesh when they shifted. A wink was given through the olive eye he could see while a growl rolled over her tongue. She allowed Cron to wrap arms around her neck and pushed her chest into him while back end swung around to put her side by side with his body. Her hind leg aimed to wrap around his and pull it outward, paw holding it down, so she could try and gain access to straddle him. Woman could feel his resistance but knew he would be hers tonight. It was all in good fun. She preferred a fighting spirit in them anyways. Hips began to gyrate in the air before throwing her weight across him in an attempts to meet pelvis to pelvis. If the ploy hadn't worked, snarl would grow in volume and head would shake in order to shake his none too lightly. Then she would try again. If and when it worked, leg would swing over to his other side and body would lower, pressing into his. At that point she would release his muzzle and offer him a swipe of the tongue. Forelegs would slide down to his side and wrap around hips while hind got to humping. Humpityhumphump.
Crony could feel his desire building up more, even now, though he still gave a fight. As the woman attempted to gain control of his back end, he'd give a few kicks and pushes with his hind legs. He'd manage to wiggle himself free of her first try, though when he did, the woman would give a none too gentle shake to his muzzle. Undertone of moaning would come to the forefront as the woman did so, and some beads of blood found their way out of his circulatory system. This didn't phase him in the least, however, and when the shaking stopped and the second attempt came he'd resist a bit more, before allowing Smug control. After the release of his face, he felt a tongue run over his muzzle, a murr escaping him. He chased after her with a lick of his own, aiming to plant another kiss on the woman before she slipped down. To aid him, he'd use his grip to try and hold her close for long enough to do so. Regardless of whether the kiss landed or not he'd curl up again, though this time he'd remain on his back, spine curving to the side. He'd drag his top end over slightly, forelegs dangling loosely in the air. When Smug was in position and doing her business on his back end, he'd move his back legs to hook over her thighs, and use the leverage to join in the rythm. A smirk would dawn on his face as the ecstasy of the act washed over him, and the smirk accompanied by more moans. However, his maw felt empty- he wanted to bite something. So, with nothing else as an option, he'd move his teeth to clamp down over his own foreleg, sending more tingling jolts up and down his spine.
Smug. Crony's moans sent tingles of pleasure down her frame, fueling the need for release. His affections landed as he held her to him before letting go. A smirk touched her lips before nose scrunched up in pleasure. Finally allowed control, the woman moved into position and thrust pelvis to pelvis with him. When he hooked his thighs around hers and they moved in unison, moans escaped and jaws parted to clamp teeth around chest or side fur. Anything she could get them around. Just had to bite something. She could see he felt the same urge as he bit down on himself. Watching him caused her blood to boil and the pace to pick up. Woman would attempt to hold out until Crony found his release before she did hers. Eyes glazed over and face went slack as euphoria climaxed and she found her own. Hips slowed and legs quivered before she released his flesh and collapsed on top of him. Tongue lolled out while she tried to reign in her breathing then woman would roll off his body and lay there on her side. Mmmm now that felt good.
Crony was getting closer and closer to the final and intense rush. Their in sync movements only spurred this on for him quicker, as much as he wanted it to last longer. As he dug into his own flesh, he'd feel another set of teeth on his chest, giving him another jolt of pleasure. They would carry on like this, locked in position for a good amount of time- until the male could feel the waves of sweet release rocking through him. Leg would be released as head returned to rest on the ground, moans escaping in time with the pulses. Lot long after the woman on top of him would get the same reward, her weight pressing down on him as she collapsed. They'd remain like that as she gathered her breath, then he'd feel her slip off of him and onto her side. He himself would straighten out from his curled position, flopping over on his side, faced in her direction. If allowed, he'd scoot himself into a cuddle with the lass, intending to somewhat curl his body around and under her neck, so she could use his side as a pillow. If successful, Cro would bury his nose into her neck fur, and begin gentle grooming. If she moved away, he'd simply accept it and lay there in the afterglow.
Smug opened her olive eyes as the male moved beside her. She was too tired to argue as he scooted towards her. Head rested on his side while breathing slowed and jumbled mind slowly untangled. She felt him nuzzle into her neck fur and wasn't sure how to feel about this whole affection thing. It wasn't quite like her. After he groomed her for a minute woman pushed off of his frame and shifted to get her legs under her. Her body was loose and limbs a touch numb from their workout. Head angled so she could stare down at him a moment, eyes unreadable. A grunt escaped her lips before she pushed herself up into a stand. Smug let out a large yawn that captured her face then braced her legs to shake out her fur. Front end dropped while body stretched like a cat. One last look at the male was given, head leaned in to nip at his cheek. She didn't know why she did it. It probably smarted some since she was not known for her gentleness. Pivoting on her paws, satisfied woman headed out to do her nightly routine of border patrol before settling in for the night. "G'might," she tossed over her shoulder as she went.
Crony was allowed the embrace he'd tried for, if only for a short while. Tail would idly wave as he went about grooming the woman. However it wouldn't last long, as she got to her feet shortly after. He'd watch her stretch and shake out her fur, accepting her to just walk off afterwards. But he'd get one more thing- a nip on the cheek. Granted, it wasn't gentle at all, though he liked it nonetheless. He'd give a quiet murr, then curl up by himself for the night. When she gave her goodnights, he'd reciprocate in a tired voice. "Night..." Eyes would drift closed, and he'd slip into unconsciousness.
(11:24:07) Cinnema had woken in the morning, tired and weary, from her fight with Solv the night before. She was a little sore given the sudden intensity they had reached seemingly out of nowhere, and the fact that she hadn't done as much as that in a while, but it was good to be stretching her muscles again. Always progress, yep yep. They were getting back on track whether they liked it or not. So off to the river she'd gone for a drink and a dip in the water, much to her relief. Water was always great of course. But she didn't linger there for too long, even to soak her new wounds. For the most part it was only her face that stung like hell because of teeth having been scraped across her muzzle. It was wonderful to be putting herself to work again though so for that reason she didn't care. Stomach was healed over in a tough layer of scar tissue so, whatever came came! She was ready. Upon her return to the den, after reminding herself she'd get that bear's skull later. She stared up at the rocks that comprised it before moments later working her way up the slope. Oh hell this was not something she was used to, and that made it all that much better as a workout. Muscles strained and burned as she hauled her ass up, trying to be careful that she didn't tumble back down with loose rocks. It wasn't long that she kept it up though, only half way up and her legs were shaking as chest heaved to get air. Why was she doing this again? Oh yeah. IMPROVEMENT. Keke. For the moment she'd pause upon a flat rock, to catch her breath and look out over the courtyard as she was able. Huh, it was pretty cool up here. She could grow used to that.
(11:41:39) Bassinet: Age was becoming Bass' greatest enemy, no longer did the so feared and renowned female heal and feel no pain. Long after the adrenaline in her body dissipated she felt the once rewarding sting bite into her muscles as she kept on dragged her sorry ass through the wooded area. Long ago she had made the mistake of letting a person get too close, she let herself get attached and for that mistake she had paid with her left ear as the better part of it had been shredded. The wound though no longer fresh still held an odd soreness to it. Perhaps, it was a pang of regret that the female felt rather than actual pain itself. Femme fatale had concluded regret was worse than any wound, and that she would endure most anything than have to face the familiar presence of regret once more. Overtly sharp claws dug into the moist terra as she pulled herself even farther yet, well knowing she was trespassing into claimed lands as the rich smell had invaded her nasal cavity what seemed like ages ago. Perhaps the female was simply tired, tired of being a loner and of being utterly lost and not in the directional sense. Once upon the time she had sat upon a throne of blood and bones of her enemies and her challengers only to have it all stripped away, her honor, her dignity, and most of all her family. Bass knew that eventually she would be spotted by the lands' occupants and she somewhat looked forward to it, perhaps it was her suicidal death wish, perhaps she just longed for company, even if that company may bring her ultimate demise about.
(11:43:19) Hadlee had been hidden even now. After the birth of the new batch of victims, Hadlee had made herself scarce enough that she would not be forced to put herself in danger. Already, her life was in danger more than she knew. That, with the sweet scent of her body lifting from her, made it all too obvious for her to know that she had to keep herself hidden enough to not feel the wrath of those around her. The days came and passed and she remained against the side of the den like a viper ready to strike. It was only the sounds of loose rock falling from the den that pulled her away rather frantically. Her remaining ear pushed flat against her skull while she scurried away from the rocks and back into the courtyard. While she turned up to her sister on top of the den, it was the strange woman that took her attention. With her lips turning up into a grimace, she took sight of the woman in front of her. "They don't look too kindly on strangers here." She hissed out. While she stood her ground, she wanted nothing more than her sister to save her from what she would have to do. There were children. She was in heat. Not to mention, her days were numbered. This would not end well for anyone involved.
(11:57:49) Cinnema rolled her shoulders and allowed herself to stretch as she stood perched up at her current spot. The rocks under her paws were warm from the sun but the cooling breeze, ahh, just made it worth it. She stood there enjoying the feeling of her fluffyr fur being disturbed by the wind before eyes shifted down to the landscape again. Oh? What was this? A stranger, so far in their territory, and seemingly uncaring about the fact that she was tresspassing. Well, well, well. Ears flicked with slight surprise to hear her sister's voice below, turning her head to see her, before she began descending the cliffs. Careful but also hurried at the same time, with the need to confront this woman. The last few feet she ended up sliding down, but for once she had the tact to make it look like it was on purpose, holding herself up like a cool person. Lame. She would step away from the wall and shake her fur out casually before she stood up at full height, ears pressing forward and eyes staring, locked on the cream femme. "I'm not going to doubt you already realize you're aren't supposed to be here. So why do you still approach?" She was on edge more than she usually was; the smell of birth wafting subtly from the den was an overwhelming factor. It was a little bit of a comfort to see Lee standing up beside her, but otherwise. No looks were spared in sister's direction for now, just focusing on Bass. Usual stance with tail held slightly higher than her spine and tensed muscles that gave away she was perfectly okay with settling things with violence.
(12:10:07) Bassinet: Ah it was about time someone stopped her, or else Bass would ave started to worry exactly what type of wolves inhabited this territory. AS the female seemed to oh so 'gracefully' slide off the rock face Bass would be unable to disguise her huff, something of a wolfy laugh. Bass would lower her frame just a bit to the ground a sort of curtsy, even if this female was not a leader it was always agreeable to show respect for the wolves that lived where she was trespassing. If the female deemed it necessary to attack, Bass' lowered frame would be in the perfect position to lunge. Bass was nothing of the submissive sort, and would look the female in the eye when she spoke, "I am just passing through, it seemed a waste of time to walk around the marked land when I very well could save time by going through. I mean you and yours no harm should you return the favor." Any creature that took the time to examine Bass would have made a note that she was well fought and well won, by the trophies of pink and raised skin all over her body. Some of her fights had been won by the hair on the back of her neck, but in the end won none the less. Should the female decide that she wanted a fight, Bass would have a situation on her hands. The female from the rocks seemed sore but in good condition otherwise, where the other female seemed a little worse for wear. Even if one was wounded two against one would be tricky but Bass was assured of her skill set and would not let the worry of losing creep into the forefront of her mind.
(12:19:29) Hadlee grew stronger by the day. Her wounds were healed and meant nothing to her which made the situation all the more terrifying for her. As the woman approached and lowered her body to prepare for attack, Lee let out a low growl. There would be no lunging unless needed. Her ear flicked forward while her sister spoke out. Walk through a clearly marked territory to save time? Was she dumb? "Believe me when I say it's better to steer clear of territories. They hold nothing but what you do not wish to encounter." Her eyes narrowed as she widened her stance. If needed, the woman would lunge forward. If this stranger thought it was best to fight off those of this pack, Hadlee would prove her loyalty right here. These wolves were growing on her day by day. While her sister was the one to hold her loyalty, the others were taking their place by her side slowly but surely. "Please. You don't want to make the wrong move. It will not end well." While normally this would be considered a threat, it was considered a warning. Hadlee did not want to see another end up like she had.
(12:29:54) Zodiak speant the night within the darkened den with his mate and pups. As the early rays of light flooded the entrance, casting it's golden rays across the rocky tomb, he stirred. A yawn and stretch had him rising from the comfort of nida's fluff and his own roaring insides only meant hers were probably aching too. How long had it been since he ate? ugh groan. With a sigh he'd slowly head to the exit, the thought of food on his mind. However, upon poking his head from the rock fortress, eye set first and foremost on a wolf he'd never seen. Lips quivered and a low growl reverberated in his chest, slowly stalking towards her. Head would twist to see cin and hadlee not too far from this stranger, but it didn't stop his motion. Nearing her his lips peeled back to bare fangs, hackles puffing up and tail going stiff. He had a nursing mate and pups in that den, and that meant kill first, ask questions later.
(12:45:28) Cinnema was irritated that this wandering woman had come this far into the territory, but that could soon be fixed.. Eyes only casually leaving the other for short amounts of time to see what else was happening in the courtyard. But by no means did the queen like the fact that she was being stared right back at the whole time she was speaking. RUDE. Her lips curled in a snarl without the sound to back it up. "You should have thought again and instead of being lazy and going where you are not welcome, help yourself by getting some exercise. Zodiak entering the courtyard with a huff earned her gaze to flick in his direction, although she was still on guard for any moves the intruder might make. She gave him a measured look. It would've been nice to let him do as he wished, but she didn't know if he was yet in better condition and no way was she going to let him get more hurt. Eyes shifted again to Bass. "You're invading on Vechnyy turf. Either leave now or you'll figure out just what kind of mess you've gotten yourself into." She rolled her shoulders, scarred by the swipe of the bear that had thrown her. Sure, the other seemed to be battle-worn and experienced, but so were many of the wolves here including her. The fresh tear on Cin's cheek could attest to that and she was just fine with accumulating more marks.
(12:53:56) Bassinet: The gesture of lowering her body had been the wrong one it seemed as it had set the other female off into some sort of tizzy about what was right and what was not and what was good for Bass' health. Pah! Nobody knew what was good for Bass, female doubted if she even knew. Even so, Bass was no yearling, or an idiot and knew this confrontation was going south and quickly. Being ever the diplomat she was, and could be bass would make the choice to lower her eyes from the two, as she truly did not want trouble and had it not been for the sick and twisted voice in her head she may have very well stayed far, far away from marked territories. Alas, Bass wanted, no, needed others, having spent the better part of the last year by herself with only her mind to play tricks on her and keep her company she had started to seriously doubt the sanity of the little voice that was swimming inside her cranium. As the other female lifted her lips, Bass would act in kind as raise hers too, "Is this how you treat those who wish you no harm?" Deep down Bass understood she was severely outnumbered and the smart thing would be to tuck her tail and run but that stupid little voice would not submit and the words were tumbling out of her mouth before she could stop them, "You seem fairly high and mighty looking the way you do, though that can be attested as I have not seen the other yet... that is if he still breaths" Bass knew that a well placed compliment could sometimes smooth over a rift between two of her kind. Not entirely hoping this wold be the case Bass was in a mood so to speak. Bass even now enjoyed this females company, at least this female met her with aggression rather than indifference and did not avoid her as if she were the plague itself. Bass wanted to stretch her muscles and relax them at the same time, "How about I make you a deal? We have a little duel, If I am the victor I request permission to rest my body on your lands, If you win well I assume I'll be dead"
(13:03:19) Hadlee let out a hard snarl as the woman spoke of doing no harm. This place tore down whoever passed to bring them up in their own shadow. Lee warned the woman though she didn't even bat an eyelash at her. If she was dumb enough not to take her advice, she deserved what she was getting. Her hackles raised all too eaisily and with the appearance of her own disliked Zodiak, her dulled eyes turned. The man was just as upset. Now he cared about children. She would have tore him down with her own words, but she valued two things more than she cared to say: her life and the children that sat within the confides of the den. "You challenge my sister? You're in for a fate worse than you know." Hadlee took a step backward to leave the battle ground for the two women. If need be, she was there to swoop in and save her sister. Of course, she wouldn't be much help, but she was there.
(13:09:27) Zodiak didn't hear much of what was being said, his mind was focused on 2 things: his pups and this intruder that served as a possible threat to them. Maw parted as crackled intake of air was taken only to burst back out in a nasty snarl. Tongue slipped in and out between teeth and a distinctive sneeze was given. He was itching for a good fight, after everything that had happened in the past few days, he needed an outlet. However, a glance to cin wouild have him holding back, no need to jepordize his own status within the pack. If the queen wished it, he'd dish it. Then the stranger set forth her own challenge and he'd let out a barking snarl, snapping jaws at the air next to her. COME ON! Lets go!
(13:21:27) Cortés awoke with a start, a shudder rippling beneath his flesh. His one eye was wide, whaled as he felt panic rise within him. His dreams were becoming a reality. He was there again, within the depths of the river. His breath was clouded, almost as if he were drowning. Yet his mouth, his entire being, craved water. He didn't remember when he last took a drink, or even eaten. He could feel his frame even smaller than what his muscled furry appearance was. His heart pounded, and he tried to stand. His legs wobbled slightly, before he could take his first steps. He moved, following the light, as if it beckoned him forth. He moved, like a zombie walking toward it's target, until finally he emerged into the outside world. He froze, his body convulsing slightly, ready to dry heave the contents within his belly. Though unfortunately, there was nothing within him to throw up. Instead after a few moments of hacking up, bile spilled from his lips, nausea that usually accompanied starvation, finally took it's toll. He watched, blurry eyed, as green liquid filtered out. Tears matted the fur beneath his eyes as he looked on. Shapes and figures moved within the distance, distorted voices were heard. However one figure stood out. At this point in his delirium, the only clear thing he saw...was the deer! That damned deer he had hunted before. That fucker! He moved, bile running along his chest and mouth, he moved hazardously toward what he thought was a deer. Of course he did't know it was some stranger coming upon his lands. Oh no. It was his chance for a meal, as well as revenge. The gash along his side, now filled with dirt and puss, continued to bleed, his side caked in new and dried blood. Blindly he moved to ram his body toward the other, disgusting mouth snapped toward the other's face, particularly the deer's cheek area. Of course this was all happening while he was moving forward, body hoping to bullet into the other with all the force he could muster.
(13:31:30) Cinnema was more uncertain with how this conversation was going when she was no longer being stared at, but her ears pressed forward and she instantly was on high alert when her snarl was ill recieved and copied. So that's how they would play? Play it was then. Her ears flicked to hear what Hadlee had to say, but everyone was allowed their turn to talk. Not that it did any of them a lick of good, she didn't hardly acknowledge any of them anyways! Except for ears flicking. And otherwise it wasn't any bother. A smirk crossed her features at the response, though cruel look remained as well. "Is your life worth being able to pass through once? You don't think I'd let you stray around all the time do you?" She laughed. That was obsurd. She almost had half a mind to let Zod at her. "No, I don't think you'll be going anywhere after thi--" There came crazed and sick Cortes running out after them, eyes set on the intruder. HOLY HELL. That was not what she'd had in mind when she was thinking of punishment of any sort. "CORTES" she roared out, as if that would startle him out of what he was doing. She could hope right? If not she was quick behind him as he began snapping and charging, already tensed legs pushing her off as she leaped for the side of his neck to knock him away. God, she would hate to hurt him, but this was madness. The attempt was only to knock him away and she'd continue to hold his scruff if she'd had it, with a few shakes. "Get a hold of yourself!" Gdi and everything had been going well..
(13:36:25) Bassinet: As the other female appeared to be nursing which is why, Bass assumed, she was backing down. The male that had emerged from the cave could only be the father of the pups both looked like they'd been through hell and back again. All sorts of thought were rushing in her mind before everything came down to a dead halt and it seemed as if time was in slow motion. Out of seemingly no-where a brutish creature was charging her and it didn't matter how slow everything had become Bass would be rammed by the creature but not without attempting to sing her claws in the wound that graced his side, it did look terribly painful and if that was the only thing that would release him from his sudden aggression. Bass would lower her head in an attempt to protect her neck and chest area. All the while Bass would have begun to snap at the male over and over again, it was almost assured that one or two of her bites would meet their mark. It would seem even though she had come with no intention of harm that harm was going to be done unto this pack regardless. Fate sucked, because Bass knew that there was bound to be one of two wolves that were not injured those wolves in addition to the one who WERE injured would made for one hell of a blood bath. With Bass' proposal of a duel she could have at least controlled the number but with this new twist she doubted she would see the sun set. If bass was successful at tearing the gash on the male's side wider open she would attempt to dislodge herself from him and quite honestly turn tail and run for her life. In hindsight Bass realized that she had stumbled onto the pack den which was of course FULL of fucking wolves. Has she brushed into one or two wolves a little bit off from the den this would be a better situation, still messed up, but maybe better odds.
(13:42:46) Hadlee. The woman was there, waiting for the string of duels and things to occur in her home. Still, she was given something far more terrible. In an instant, everything happened. While her sister was speaking, it was Cortes that moved forward to attack the stranger. Fear touched her gaze as she caught the madness in the way that he moved. With a snarl snapping her lips open, she lunged to the man. If anything, she hoped to knock the man to the side along with her sister's grasp at his neck. "Cortes!" The woman hollered out trying to pull him back to reality. If she could remember any of the words of spanish that she had heard from him, she would attempt that. Of course, all she had was the stupid English. Well, if he flailed and knocked her away, there would be another pretty scar to remind her that she was nothing. What a great day that would be.
(13:50:10) Zodiak's body trembled with adrenaline and frame shifted in place, paws dancing eagerly as the waited for the tsari to say the words. Imagination played out images of him tearing into that pretty white coat and painting the stranger red. The thought excited him even more and he continued to let out a mix of growls and snarls, jaws already parted and ready. Saliva trailed from his muzzle to collide with the dirt beneath him and tongue continuously flicked to try and salvage the strands, with little luck. There was a flash of red as cortes came barreling by. OH! head jolted up as he watched his injured brother charge blindly at the stranger. Something wasn't right. "Cort!" he barked loudly, rushing to try and stop him, however cin and had seemed to beat him to it, and amidst the quarrel between him and the new wolf, she tried to flee. Zod was quick to act, pushing forward at her heels with snapping jaws and violent barks. She wasn't getting off that easy, too much of a risk to have her return while they were sleep, or tell her friends and have them ambushed. HELL NAH! He'd force bulk to move faster, pushing up along her side before lunging himself at an angle towards her, jaws seeking to snag her scruff, while all his weight would be forced upon her to bring her down like small deer. This wasn't over.
(14:06:25) Cortés was about to take advantage of the fact that this doe had lowered it's skull. He hadn't been aiming for the neck, so when it lowered it's head, he went for the cheek and tried to scrape his teeth along it's face. Though it seemed he'd missed, which wouldn't be surprising considering the state he was in. Though it boggled what little rationality he had within his mind. Not to mention when the animal lifted it's hoof to kick his wound, it didn't have the same usual power a deer normally would have. The pain was dulled on his already inflamed area. Still he winced and growled a low and guttural growl when the animal turned tail to flee. Not again! He wouldn't allow it. He'd get this damned deer, he wouldn't fail the pack again. So off he went...or tried to. Something had him caught. What the hell? He tried to fling himself again, and heard a roaring sound right by his ear. He turned then, twisting his skull a bit until he saw a large and looming shadow right by his face. Without his knowing, a shadow monster had gotten his neck! He scrambled, his body thrashing against this distorted demon. He felt rising panic, and he nearly felt his heart explode. Finally inn an act of desperation, he rammed his body toward the shadow demon, jaws snapping the air around him. If possible, he'd even try to wrap his arms around the ghostly being and wrestle it to the ground. He heard the muffled calls of his name though, which made him hesitate only slightly. Had this demon delved into his memories? Did it come specifically for him? What was this sorcery!? "Volver al infierno, demonio!"
(14:35:49) Cinnema could not focus on the stranger woman for the fact that she was so surprised about Cortes coming out and raging like a mad man. As she went to get a hold of his scruff however she noticed her trying to flee. Oh hell, that would be wonderful. The strange lady getting off without hardly a top on the wrist. Good thing Zod was on that! Because she was having to deal with the Spaniard turning on her now instead. He thrashed around but she managed to keep her hold, cringing as she was that it could be hurting him further. "CORTES WAKE UP" she snarled, even as he shifted to get a hold of her and causing her jaws to release. He would likely get his arms around her if he still wished to, her own paws digging into the ground to resist being shoved back as her jaws flashed against his to avoid getting any huge damage while he was in this state. Holding him no longer being her priority given that he wasn't going after random people, she could deal with this at least. Hopefully.
(15:34:46) Bassinet: HOLY SHIT. Holyshit. Holyshit. Holyshit. That's all that kept running through Bass' head as the male would no relent and even the pain that her strike seemed to have caused was minimal. It was obvious that the brute that had barreled out of no-where are her was not in his right mind by the other wolves' reaction. The female had no interest in leaving and would make that known, as she would scream out trying to run away, "I NEVER BACK DOWN!" she would screech, "When one's in their right fucking mind. What do you do keep that thing chained up waiting to release him on unsuspecting people?" Bass was not afraid per say of anything her size but that... that thing was not other weight class and she would not stand a chance other than landing a few minor blows to him. In that moment Bass conceded that she would most likely not be leaving the territory alive. As son as she thought she was a safe enough distance away from the monster she would be dragged down from the side her should would be pierced by something very sharp on the ground perhaps a rock it was only then did she realize that the devil from literally hell has managed to grace her cheek with his initial attack, she secretly hoped he didn't have any fatal diseases, because that would suck. Once she was on the ground she would attempt to snap at the male who had less than gracefully taken her down "@back off asshole." was all she would say between bared, clenched teeth.
(16:00:33) Zodiak was taking full strides after the female, and for once, the pain in his side was more like the numbing pain of a sore muscle from a hard workout. Finally things were getting better! He took a deep breath and celebrated the fact that it didn't cause stabbing pains, time had been good to him and he was almost done. Heavy paws brought him to the girls side and in lunging at her, jaws managed to clamp down on her scruff and the two went crashing to the dirt. The strangers jaws were felt snapping towards him, snagging a chunk of his neck. Wide-mouthed snarl escaped him as he released her scruff, moving so legs straddled over her to keep her from rising. Lips remained curled to expose fangs and when she spoke, he lunged at her muzzle to enclose it between his jaws. If successfull he'd release a deep snarl and thrash his head side to side, leaving a permanent mark for all to see what happens when you arrive at vechnyy... that is if she made it out alive...
(16:18:53) Cortés would feel resistance off the shadow. he would move to grab a hold of any flesh he could, especially since he felt his battered scruff be released. His jaws would aim for the monster's face, he wished to take hold of the sensitive flesh near the base of the ear, and savagely break into the skin briefly. He would then move on, even if he didn't get a hit in. Though he narrowed his gaze and tried to make out the details of the demon, even as he attempted his assault. Everything was blurred, but some features seemed familiar. The hell? Still he was panicked. It had him, and clearly that meant it wanted to kill him, right? He wouldn't go down without a fight! He felt his arms wrap around her, and thus as she pushed against him, he would lift upward in a rearing fashion, and would the ram his body downward. So instead of trying to push it over onto it's side, he would try to slam his body down atop it's back. Of course the action faltered as soon as he heard his name being called a second time. He jerked himself, so instead of ramming down like he intended, he essentially slid down unto the earth, almost as if he'd been electrocuted. His body jerked some more until he simply laid there, his body labored. It took a minute for his logic to put two and two together. Was he...was he insane? He turned to look at the shadow monster, his head arching slightly from the ground, it's blurry face coming into focus slowly. It was la reina. He felt his heart jerk slightly. He shifted, thrashing against the ground to get away from her. Did he hurt her? This was like his kids all over again. He thought his episodes were over. That he was sane! Now this! He was reliving his past all over again. Oh god. He tried to get away, almost like a wounded antelope in a lion's den.
(16:38:04) Cinnema was working hardest to avoid his snapping jaws but also to not wound him either. But it didn't seem like she could keep up, as quick and determined as he was to defeat her. She couldn't guess as to what he was seeing, what sort of haze he was in. But she was set on standing there and occupying him until he snapped out of it. She let out a hiss of breath as he caught her near her ear, tearing before moving on. His arms wrapped up and around her and she growled with frustration but braced herself to be slammed against. Only, he didn't. She stared at him as he jerked about and fell to the side; she took a few steps backward with slight shock, but her head lowered to stare him directly in that one eye of his. Look of concern passed over her face then as he was faultering, even as blood dripped over her face. As he started to back up she shifted forward quickly, not intending to let him run off in shame or whatever he was feeling. Jaws flashed out to grasp his muzzle and she would attempt to force him to stay, staring him down, clear gaze locked. "Cortes. My friend. Calm down, I assure you I am alright. You were not yourself, I won't hold it against you." Voice soothing and calm even though grip was tight, uncompromising. He wasn't well.. And with all the rest of them having had their days like this, one for him was almost normal. Especially after Zod's. Heh. Should he calm and stop trying to resist she would let him go and apply a lick to the top of his muzzle, worried gaze still set on him as ears flicked to register the sounds of battle in the background. Hell, she was going to tear that cream lady a new one.
(17:00:47) Zodiak could taste the blood... the metalic liquid that was now oozing from her muzzle as his fangs clamped down. He's pause his thrashing, keeping a good hold on her muzzle as paws were felt pushing up against his belly. He only growled more, and used forelimbs to hold her in place. ohgod! this was akward! Heavy growls rumbled in his chest as he gave her muzzle another good shake before the female started writhing around. Paws hooked even tighter and he'd release her jaw only to quickly snap jaws to the side to grab at her scruff/side of her neck. Amidst her writhing there was a momentary airhump before he'd bite down harder to secure grip as she slid from him. Her body was no longer fully beneath him but now more at an angle as he still had a paw hooked over her opposite side. If he was able, before she could rise, he'd lunge his weight forward to try and push her neck to the ground as jaws sought to resecure grip around her windpipe. If not, he'd likely be half stradling her while holding on as best as he could.
(17:22:15) Nida moved off the floor. It had been an age since her legs have been put to use, and the grumbling of her stomach sent her away from her recently birthed children. The badger Yusef left was stripped clean until there was nothing but bone and a vague memory. Her ears erect themselves and curl forward, her head arising, as she caught sight of a kerfuffle; nothing she has not seen before, thus the slant of the lines -- lips, even -- as a result. Two disagreements, apparently; between Cinn and .. Cortez, the other with Zod and .. Her eyes squint. The smell in which she strained was not one she called to mind ever stumbling on before. Safe to say .. she was not one of them. A low rumble deep within her chest made itself known, saggy teats swaying in an array of directions. Why was there an intruder this close to the den ..? She pushed her self forward to a full sprint, utterly mindless, as lips disclosed over bared fangs, seeking to find the interloper's tip for the taking. If successful, she'd latch on and thrash. She just wanted the tail tip- a reminder to outsiders of her mistake! Och! No sympathies for this one considering the scent markings on the borders warned any daring to trespass!
(17:42:13) Cortés felt pain as Cin stopped his attempt at fleeing. He wanted to run. He wanted to just run and never return. He didn't want to hurt his family, just as he hurt his children all those years ago. His deep scars from his past were the worst kind always reopening into full fledged wounds. He could handle the physical ones, but the ones on his emotions. He didn't know how he would survive. Still though, he could feel his vision blur again, though this time not from delirium. It was unshed tears. He was a grown ass man, fighting the urge to weep. He felther loosen, then lick at him, offering comfort. He felt a shudder wrack his frame, and he moved to lay down, no longer trying to run. Not because he didn't want to, but because he was far too drained. His exhaustion and hunger had caught up to him once more, and in the end, he gave up and lost conciousness.
(17:55:24) Cinnema looked to Cortes with subdued sadness in her gaze as he would not seem to respond to her. And even more so as he fell into rest again, likely too weak to stay awake for too long. No, that wasn't good, they would make sure that he got well again. She would make sure of that. But for now, her attention was stolen by the growing conflict going on over there. And there went Nida running on by, teats flying as she sprinted, and Cin had to stare for a second before spurring herself into action. One on Zod was bad enough, and then fat ol' Nida thrown into the fray. Which was obviously to an advantage before that. Whelp. The queen raged on over, seeing Zod attempting after the throat and Nida tugging on the tail. Paws skidded to a halt to stand over the pale woman's face before she chose to do anything. "Zod. Enough, don't kill her yet. She is not going anywhere." Cin grinned slowly, allowing time for them to calm down if they wished before letting go. Heck. As long as Bass didn't die right this moment then whatever else happened, that was cool. "Does your challenge still stand? I will fight you, now, just us two. But if not, your life if forefit. It's either you are killed where you lay or you can fight and survive as a slave among us. Rab." Those were the options.. Of course she did not intend in any case to let her get away, not now after she'd caused problems. The queen wanted to have some sort of fun still! The stress of fighting her packmates and not wishing to injure them was on her mind and this would surely ease that. Given that, well, she wouldn't have to make sure no one got seriously hurt! Keke.
(18:06:40) Bassinet: This jerk humped her, what the hell. Bass now only half straddled by the male and could feel him biting into the side of her neck, letting out an mind-numbing screech-like sound. Bass would attempt to yank her head away from the male, if his teeth managed to take some of her skin so be it. If freed from his grasp she would attempt to right herself on all fours once more, her fur probably more red than white at this point. It was then that she felt the familiar sting of teeth only not the males this time as his, if she had been successful, would be near her neck and full of her flesh. This was another set of teeth and they were biting at her tail. Good freaking lord, it was common manners not to bite someone already... mostly... somewhat subdued. That was the final straw these wolves had no manners and it seemed no civility, but no that wasn't right because the original female was soothing the crazy psycho down or something along those lines. Bass felt a pang of worry for the female as she got that close to him, he might eat her alive! Bass did not truly realize why she cared about the female's well-being maybe it was because the female had the decency to actually use her words rather than her teeth. Bass was unaware of who or what was biting her tail but she could only assume it was another one of their little piranha and she was the bloody carcass that had just been thrown into the water. There was nothing Bass could do to fight off all the wolves, she was trapped. It went against everything she knew and had been raised to accept but there was no way for her to escape in one piece. If she had been sure that the male would stop attacking her if she relented and submitted to him she would have stopped struggling ages ago and in a heart beat but she did not have that assurance. This fact alone was the only reason she kept fighting, snapping wildly at anything that was within striking distance. One back leg would shoot out and attempt to kick the wolf that was biting at her tail, all she needed was one well placed kick and that wolf might think differently in choosing to go for a weak and low hit. At some point she heard the voice of the original female only a lot closer now, and what was that? Calling off her attack dogs? Oh thank heaven. Nope, now the queen wanted a piece for herself, well that didn't seem quite fair as she was already bleeding and wounded where the queen had but a scratch on herself. Maybe this was why she was queen simply because she never fought a fair and even battle. Bass if released from the confines of the male would respond to the queen's challenge, "I do not believe that would be a fair fight, as I am already decently weakened from my scuffle with your attack dogs" If the queen insisted Bass would not have a choice as there was no way in hell that she would go down without at least some sort of fight.
(18:26:32) Zodiak was in the moment, venting his rage on this strangers neck as jaws sought to end her life. nothing else struck his attention, only this moment full of blood and rage. Rage for his pups. Cin's voie snapped him out of it, and ever-tightening jaws loosened grip but kept a light hold for a moment. Heavy exhales escaped his nose, breath catching up with him. The female pulled from him and he snorted, taking a step back to let tongue lick across his lips. Gaze finally took notice of nida. Shit! when the hell did she get involved in this?! He slowly shifted towards her, giving gentle nips to her cheek to urge her to release the stranger. But damn she was fighting and that shit was hot. Body pushed forward, jaws moving to grasp at the side of her neck. He wouldn't bite hard, just rough omnoms as he growled into her fur. rrrrr hey bby. Tail swayed for a moment before the phrase 'attack dogs' was ushered from the female. Pulling from nida he'd whip around with fangs bared "If it were up to me you'd be dead!" he snapped, single eye glaring at her, "Consider yourself lucky." He'd snort, turning back to nida to give her another omnom to her cheek. Flustered dad would turn and trot off toward the den with a swish of his tail to check on unatended pups.
(18:32:49) Nida was horridly caught in the throes of passion and the pack mentality to realize much else. Oh well. She did detect the footfalls while she resumed her wild and frantic thrashing, that slowed to hear the words of the female alpha. Hey, sounds cool to her, so long as she was able to initiate her in, just in case their new Rab brought into the fold decided to thrive among them. Steps back were stolen with the tail within her mouth, her own wagging with fierce enthrallment, eyes growing tense with a narrow. Yeah, she felt the kick, and it hurt, but she did not relinquish. Not until that tail was severed from the intruder. Annnnd then - oh!- she got nommed in the cheek, and she became distracted. Her tail was let to swing against her hocks quietly. She headbutts him lightly before tossing an austere look at the she-wolf. Shouldn't have been trespassing or doing whatever it was to get attacked! Well .. whatever, not her problem truthfully- it's Cinn's now. A bow would be given to her, a rather sloppy one, since she hurried to retreat, find the carcass of bear cub, fawn, or fish remains ( idk what's here) to take and eat at the front of the den. She'd observe for now. Because she can learn a thing or two.
(18:48:59) Cinnema stood quietly over the intruder once her part had been said. Waiting patiently for her friends to calm and back away from the fight so she could do something about this. Eyes glanced over Zod as he moved, a simple look, then noticing Nida's flustered bow. The second Bass spoke, green eyes were fixed upon her with a slight squint. She was about to say something about the rediculousness of needing rest, but then she heard the insult. Hell naw. Eyes widened with sudden burst of fury, jaws snapping to cover the lady's muzzle and hopefully keep her silent for that moment. Her voice was deadly quiet. "Do not insult my friends and pack members. You will find yourself forefit in a heartbeat. Pray you say something like that again and you will know nothing else but the pain I can bring you and my face as you die." Another eerie smile as she pulled away but only slightly. "Perhaps you are right, it wouldn't be fair. You will stay here, for the night, to recover. First light, your judgement will take place. However pathetic it is that you think your weakness is unfair. You intruded and then tried to run, and my pack responded. How is that unfair?" She scoffed, jerking her head. "Stand. You will sleep where I tell you and nowhere else and not move from that place. Morning, you may drink, and then we begin." No futher discussion. If Bass would stand, Cin would lead her to a corner of the rocks, tail oh so casually draped over her back. Because if she could've walked with an arm around her shoulders, she damn well would have! But no this was fine. Upon reaching she would expect the other to lay where she pointed in the corner surrounded by sheer faces of stone before turning away to smile at her lingering friend, the new mother, eyes flicking to the bit of tail she'd stolen. Heh, she'd done something that was oh so specifically Vechnyy that it made her laugh a little. What happened to hating that mindset?
(19:11:18) Nida found herself a measly rabbit one of the supposed Vechnyy members caught, and began her feasting -- began regaining her strength back. The tail tip belonging to the intruder-turned-prisoner waiting for judgement day was beside her. Nida did not move a hair as Cinn taught the other a lesson, gave her the proper manners she needed, and spoke for the rest of the wolves that could no defend themselves. Tongue pouts from a crevice of lips to glance at the blood besmirched around her face; she stuffed herself without any etiquette, but she'd be damn to show any self consciousness now of all times. After the alpha see to where the other would stay and heard the humor pass from her, Nida's head would rise slowly, half done with the meal nearly. Ears slicked back. " Hey, Cinn," someone isn't holding a grudge today!
(19:31:17) Cinnema huffed, shaking off her irritation before she really approached her friend. Quite literally shaking out her fur and her tension beneath it. The prisoner could sleep and they were gonna do what they wanted to because that's how shit goes around here!! She would bend to sniff at the carcass her friend had been eating, though curious as to why she was leaving it. Surely she were more hungry? Was having children taking an opposite effect on her? She didn't know. But she sure didn't mind the blood and gore smeared on her. Heck it was on all of them from fighting. "Hello, Nida," she near purred, rolling her eyes at herself before reaching forward to touch the side of the new mother's face with her muzzle, remaining briefly before applying a lick. "Sorry, I just. You've really distanced before and now you've got a tailtip to show off.." She cracked a grin again. It was too great, and a little ironic. She shrugged it off to resist laughing some more about it and thought for a second, Cinnema choosing to groom the side of Nida's face. Before she shrugged thoughts away and would look to the side where Cortes was passed the hell out in the courtyard.. "We need to help him." He was in horrible shape.
(19:42:26) Nida's downy tail thumps against the ground at her approach. She was surprised to hear her purr her calling. Ears stand tall and fairly erect, but then curling soon as she tipped the side of her face into the nuzzling she'd received. " Don't get me wrong," she began, " I don't like maiming and killing. .. " Still doesn't, in fact. " It's hard to turn away from tradition and what you were born into." This much she knew true. " But .." - a sigh was educed, her eyes upturned to the cotton rolling on the blue- " if I am to grow stronger and improve .. then, I must." Simple as that! She moves upright without forsakening her seated position, and panting, looked over to where the alpha's eyes waltz off to. " What is .. wrong with him ..? Should we .. put him by the water and clean his wounds ..?" Nida saw puss before going to mama bear rage.
(19:54:30) Cinnema was happy that they were on good terms again. It wasn't easy to deal with bein uncertain whether they were okay or not, so it was a bit of a relief that Nida moved into the nuzzle. Yay. Her head would pull away though to listen to what she had to say. It was a little bit of a surprise.. but hearing that coming from her, had her tail wagging. You didn't have to like maiming and killing to be here. And sure perhaps she didn't like to look at it either. But the fact that the dark woman was trying made Cin proud.. Growing was always good. Another lick would be offered instead of words, and then they'd look at the downed canine.. "Yes, I think that would be good. He really needs it. Bring what's left of your meal, too." Cort needed some serious attention. Should that be cool with Nida. Cin would move off over to him, jaws set to grip his teeth. She grunted with the effort, but she was determined and it was too late to quit now. Sure he'd probably be upset that she'd still helped him but he could suck it.
(20:00:57) Nida eyed Cinn and her look of approval. Whatever she said must have made her swell with joy, and sense of relief, considering they have been at odds .. since, well, her children were born. That's .. yeah. The meal beneath her was snagged up in one eloquent movement before she trots off to the small pond nearby. Dropping it by the silt and on the slippery stones proving to be a barrier preventing said carcass from being dragged off. Afterwards, she trots off over to where Cinn and passed out sick Cortez were, to grasp dat ass and help out. " Geust a beet furderrr .." snarled the woman, waddling awkwardly. She still has the baby weight, which she isn't well adjusted to yet thanks to nursing and spending most time protecting.
(20:13:49) Cinnema would watch as the other retreated with the meal to take it to their destination, only then as she returned would she grasp the fluffy male's scruff and they'd begin to take him over to where they could better help and clean him. She tried to take as much as she could so that miss baby weight over there didn't have to bear too much, but considering it was just the two of them, that wasn't likely. Oh well, she tried. And it was annoying as hell trying to move him but eventually they did get him there! She'd release her hold on him once he was settled upon the ground, breathing a sigh of relief and panting for a moment. She had shifted so that some of him lingered in the shallows but not where he could potentially suffocate. Before she moved into the water and began to splash a hella lot of water to hopefully clean or cool him or whatever. And he could drink when he woke! Nose sniffed over his wounds, the scrape along his side. Ouchh. "Oh, this is going to hurt.. It needs to be cleaned though." Poor Cortes. Hopefully she didn't hurt it too much. But oh well.. Mouth went to scoop up a huge mouthful of water and promptly spat it over the wound to begin. Get dat gross shit off the surface.. But soon they'd have to get over it and get the rest out so he could possibly heal properly.
(20:23:30) Nida had her packmate by the mouthful, and used the muscles in her compact neck to carry him with Cinn the whole way to the stretch of water. Once there, and able to take a small break, because .. wow, Cortez is heavier than she led herself to believe, she helps her best friend. In the water the woman goes, her front legs working to spray water onto his body and hopefully keep him damp in the sweltering heat. Most of her weight shifted to the back, a near squat almost. Though distribution of strength was given to each leg once she leaned forward, turned, and guzzled a bunch of water. Had not drinked herself! " I will check on him often. I will also let the others know of his condition." She pauses for a moment. " Do you know Cortez sent one of his students to find Drakov ..?" Well .. she hoped she knew, otherwise .. She scoops up water to pour on his open wound, to which she licks.
(20:40:20) Cinnema shifted and huffed a sigh of slight stress. They couldn't just have big ol' Cort who was much heavier than either of them had thought. Get seriously ill on them. He was one of the few people Cin actually liked! Ha. Her ears swiveled to catch Nida's words, a nod in the space between breaths. Good, he did need to be monitored.. But her ears flicked up and forward at the next statement. "Did he?" she questioned. She hadn't known that.. Slight pause of her own as she allowed momentarily. The lingering grief over the fact he wasn't here to wash over her. Just for a moment before she pushed it back. Wasn't good to let it all in but it wasn't good to block it all out either. Then she nodded. "Well, someone needs to.. I.. wish I could, but I'm needed here." Slight frown before water was dumped on the male, and without (much) hesitation she went to flushing out the wound with her tongue as best she could. Lalala lets not think about what kind of stuff was in there and just do it.
(20:48:11) Nida stole a deep intake of breath at what she feared, a face full of guarded concern betraying itself. " It was shortly after the bear incident," she stated. She remember this well .. when Zod went beserk and Cortez helped to calm him down, among a bunch of other tasks attended to. Nida lowers down onto her stomach as she began to concentrate all of her focus on the site of the infection." We can send some of the wolves on a hunt," she murmured. " The others can stay here. That way everyone has their own set of tasks to do, and aren't .. lost." Well .. that's her train of thinking anyway. Nice to privy some of them, hopefully without harsh judgement. They simply have to stick together ..
(21:00:27) Cortés had passed out due to exhaustion, so he hadn't even noticed he moved. To be frank, he didn't even remember much of what happened. However within his dreams, he felt something pinch his side. Then again...then again...until finally the growing pain got so painful, that the last pinch felt like a knife tearing into his hide. He awoke, startled by it, that he instantly began crawling away. His body thrashed against the water, his body shaking from the cold, as well as his injuries. He squirmed, wide eyed as he looked upon Cin, and Nida. This time he could tell clearly, who they were. He tried to move again, flailing a bit in an attempt. If he was able, he'd push himself to stand, though his limbs were far too wobbily to give purchase. "W-what. What has happened." He would look around, spying a few droplits of ruddy blood plopping unto the ground.
(21:05:42) Zodiak had gone into the den to cool off and clear his mind. He'd realized he was letting his anger take over again. 'come on gotta let it go...theres nothing you can do now...' he'd sigh, pacing the den and periodically nosing the pups into their little heat pile. He wanted to forgive the others and forget it all, but that day kept replaying itsself in his head and each time it made him angry..that is until he remembered vads words...SIGH After quite some time of calming down and returning to a stable state of mind, he'd exit the den and glance around wondering where everyone had gone. It didn't take him long to find them, quickly trotting towards the water he'd lower his head to cort, nuzzling against his cheek before looking to cin and nida. "Need any help?" he asked with a swish of his tail.
(21:12:56) Cinnema looked at Nida as she kept on.. But she didn't let emotions flare too much again. "Do you remember who it was?" Because, if they hadn't been seen.. Not that Cin knew for sure who Cort's students were. Then there was another of their ranks missing from home to look out for. However as she continued licking the gash in the dog's side she listened intently to the suggested course of action. "I agree.. We need a big kill around here, for everyone. We are getting better but not for long, not without food." Training and hunting, that was what they should look at. Improvement. Suddenly the man beneath them stirred and begam trying to move away, causing her to push to her feet and back up a few steps into the water. Letting him get his distance and wake up this time, at least relieved that he was aware of it. She tilted her head slowly downward, face retaining mask of calm. "You woke earlier and I assume.. It was simliar to Zod when he had his episode. You attacked an intruder I was speaking to, she ran, and I distracted you until you woke up and, passed out." This was spoken with a soothing voice again, eyes staring into his one as she did. Little blood was still running where he had bit her, as it hadn't been cleaned or anything yet. "We brought you here after she was delt with, to help you. To clean the infection." She would tilt her head to indicate the wound upon his side, taking a few steps forward to assist in steadying him. Head turned to hear Zodiak pop up and offer his assistance, tail swaying. Other than sudden movements she was pretty relaxed around them all, in the presence of friends..sigh. "Sure," she called back to him, though she was focused on assisting the spaniard.
(21:19:08) Nida gave a shrug of her shoulders. Like she kept track of what the others did. " No, unfortunately .." Such a sad thing, to be honest, not knowing this .. pupil.. The burly woman noticed the bristle reaction, and instinctively parted from him with a scramble of feet. She fell a few times on the wet clacking rocks underneath, but she cared not for how she looked in the moment- rather, she showed mild concerned over a packmate's current state of mind. When asked what happened, she looked away, unable to fill in the need-to-know. That was left to Cinn, the one who dealt with his behavior. She licked at the wound she did not see until her eyes raked over her form. It was a couple of times before she was distracted by the voice of none other than Zod, greeted with another headbutt, nip to his cheek, and a warbled noise gurgling up her throat. Ok, back to work! She goes to the water, scoops of it up, and flushes it the nasty out.
(21:30:12) Cortes winced as he moved, but held his skull low. Ashamed at what he'd done. He felt horrible, he really did. Sure, Vechnyy was a pack of warriors, but Cortes still had his demons. And this one was particularly close to his heart. He did something he hadn't meant to do, and that wasn't alright. He moved then, shuffling close to Cin, and attempting to nuzzle into her fluff or shoulder. If possible he'd even offer a lick, a kiss, upon her cheek. "I'm sorry, mi Reina. I'm so sorry." He would shift so that he was sitting again, his head lowered once more. "I feel nothing but shame. I have hurt the one I care about without meaning to. This...this is my demon in which I can not contain." Dramatic much? Still, he did feel sorry about the whole event. He would turn toward Zod and nida, a weak smile on his face. "Gracias, mi familia. I love you all."
(21:43:42) Zodiak nuzzled into nida when she greeted him, nomming on her ear before turning attention to cin who accepted his offer for help. Zod wasn't entirely sure what they were doing as far as cleaning went, so he observed nida trail down to the water before attentions shifted to cort as he rose. Zod shifted to him, helping by other means for now as the women seemed to have the wound checked off the list. Cort mentioned his demons and zod shook his head. He knew exactly what his brother was talking about. Zod had been dealing with his in a different way. Upon his final uttering about containing the demon, zod pushed up to his front, sitting so his chest was pressed against corts at an angle, neck arching so jaws could gently clasp his muzzle while amber eye gazed dead into his. All seriousness passed between them before he released to replace teeth with licks, "Don't fight against it... work with it and know when it needs to be let out" he'd nudge him playfully before going to work grooming the spaniards face and ears. They sure had come a long way.
(22:01:08) Cinnema shrugged off the question of whoever was sent off to look for Drak. Oh well..they'd figure it out.. She tilted her head to Cortes as he held up his end of the conversation. His affections were welcomed, head laying atop his own for a moment. "It is fine, Cortes. It wasn't your fault." Even with his rant about his demon, she would refuse to fault him. Nope, he was simply sick and it had triggered him. That was it. Gaze shifted around to the others present and a smile formed upon her lips. See? They were good. "We all have our problems," she'd murmer, shifting again carefully to sniff at the wound on his side. Make sure they had sufficiently cleaned it.. "Hold still," she advised, before giving one spot a few extra licks. THERE. Now he was good. Before she went to the water to wash out her mouth and get a drink. Tail waved, low and relaxed, as she would move to pick up Nida's rabbit and offer it to Cort.
(22:08:12) Nida frowned. She had half a mind to wonder would there be a time where she will become delirious and attack her fellow friends and family .. It bothered her to even consider the thought. " Just get well, amigo," she mumbled, an upside down frown showing. Nida focuses her attention on Zod returning a bit of the affection. Huff. She was going to corner him one of these days .. For now, she would continue flushing until it appeared pointless. Her head goes aside to glance to Cinn, speaking up to wave off his attempt to apologize profusely of his mistake; she can't agree more with the alpha! " Get your health up .." came her words. Not exactly .. something to encourage a sickly person, but the best she can advise as of now. Nida stepped out of the way when the half-eaten hare was presented to him.
(22:29:40) Cortes would look to zod. He almost cried. I LOVE YOU ZOD. Instead, he would close his eyes solemnly and nod. He would take their words to heart, and try his best not to push it away, but embrace his past. It would be a hard thing to do, and he didn't even know if he could, but he'd try. So there he lay, trying to not wince and act like a bitch. Occassionally he would feed on whatever was presented to him, and drink some water. Then, when he felt full and exhausted, he would collapse again, though this time, he was far from being in danger.
(22:39:04) Zodiak continued to groom cort before gaze fell on cin as food was being offered. He shifted from cort to allow him to eat and rest, gaze settling on nida. He'd move to her and press his head into her neck; nuzzling. She'd been so busy with the pupplets he hadn't had much time alone with her. Zod would switch his grooming meathods from cort to her, licking muzzle and face before shifting to her ears. He kept at it for a little while before nudging her and rising to head toward the den.
(22:41:48) Cinnema let the other two go off and decided to spend the night to watch out for Cort since he fell asleep right there again, but she of course went for a swim before that and rubbed blood off her face so now all clean and tired! Before plopping out to sleep a short distance from him like snooorree.
