Moving on Up. Monro was beginning to feel quite cunning in lue of recent events, she had finally felt helpful for the causes back home: there orbs rolled over the floor below as she went over the metal map of places she had visited over various stints away from its walls. Everything was noted. Like a general would when drawing out a method of attack woman found herself shifting pebbles and claws into the sand, different paths: possible weaknesses if they were to attack. Oh yes she had become quite paranoid alas it seemed to be playing in her favor, as she stood proudly over her geographic blueprint.
Drakov: The days were beginning to feel longer than they should have. He was quit used to the sensation when he was up every morning excercising, hunting, or other wise doing any number of other vigorous activities. But now? ... Shit just a 2 second long rump in the water made him ache and feel exhausted the next morning. Like he'd hiked for miles, for hours, up hill, all day the day before. Fuck this internal injury. Sigh. Whatever, just as stubborn as always he was sick and tired of letting the damned thing get the better of him. He knew his days were number, a lifespan suddenly cut short and intended to be a painful grueling process. But by damn he was going down FIGHTING just as he always would! It might not have been a legitimate enemy but like hell he was gonna sulk in a corner and not do anything until his life was over. Pfft. No that was not Drak. Instead, no matter how sore, he poked his head out the den with a roll of shoulders and a sliding of paws to stretch out long and wide. Eyes were winced, the morning sun beaming down ever brightly. Boy he hated the heat here... Had 2 months passed yet? Finally, he'd end with a yawn just before gaze steadied and took note of Monro in the distance. Brows furrowed a tad, silent contemplation before paws forced him onward to address the situation. A part of him was certain the lack of able bodied members lead to the loss of so many faces. But perhapes this was a good thing. Those that remained were to be trained to higher standards. It was a train wreck trying to do that with however many fucking members before, and only three teachable higher ups. But with there numbers down he was finally able to get some one on one with Zod. The boy was being dressed to one day take over. What could he make of Monro, he wondered? Well, it was a lot harder question to answer than that of Zod. Zod had been around so long, done so much despite being treated like crap. He'd earned his place, and in that long period of time Drak was able to learn all he could about the boy. But Monro? He didn't know jack shit about her. Not until now atleast. As quiet, smooth steps carried him up eyes would find themselves subconciously drawn away from her face and instead settled onto the mural of sorts at her paws. "Vhat iz zis?" Tone was flat, cold, not intentionally just.. How he was lately.
Monro harked upwards twisting neck toward the sound of a familar rumbling voice, his queary brought forth a coy grin as she ran her paw to the side just above her mural: Vanna White in the house. "I came up with a mental map of all the places I've visited during our stay here" she said cooly peeling away from it with a heavy sigh "There is so much more to see, over time it will grow." Monnie then turned to face face him before offering more words "Nothing special, just the basics. Rocks are dens, lines are where i have taken route." Risk style methods, which made for easy clean up.
Drakov: Intrigueing. He could admit atleast that, but not much of a humble man. Gaze trailed over the image for a momment before he'd snort and proceed past it sit just on the other side, back facing the girl. "Don't vaste your time. Ve are leavink zis place in two months time. It 'as become to hot, und I intend to slowly migrate us back to Cascades." Hopefully, by the time the heat faded back, they'd be homeward bound. He was so tired of all these places and even more tired of it's inhabitants.. The strongest of the group were those derived from there birth place of Cascades. Maybe there was a reason for it. There was not a drop of strong blood here. Bah. "I've been meanink to talk to you.. Monro. Iz anyvon trainink you? Teaching you?" Not that it would be a huge surprise if they weren't. It wasn't until recently anyone was marked able to even do that. The work load had been excessively placed on the Tsar's, one of which had been gone half dad for months. They were not well off for a time. But he intended to change that.
Monro snorted lightly as if annoyed with his words "All that work for nothing" she'd say with a heafty sigh sneering playfully "What a shame." Tsking woman peered at the brutes back with a raised brow "Cascades, it has been so long" she said somberly but quickly pushed it from her mind "Traning me" woman said with a snort "No." Pausing a moment sliding to the side peering at the brute still analyzing the contemplation on his face "I rather like the idea of having a mentor, traning to better myself: what would you suggest?" Body swung to the side allowing haunches to collide with dirt surface below just enough space between them for idle chat.
Drakov: Nub of a tail flicked in silent contemplation, as she spoke her responses. Hrm. Well. Short lived or not the idea was fabulous. Especially for this particular brute. Had he had a fully rendered layout of the place before he'd have probubly not gotten his ass lost so damned bad. Hohum. "Make a new von ven ve move." Though it was slightly.. a suggestion, the fact was it was far more a command than an option. Shoulders rolled and body twisted to face more in her direction before resettling down again, only this time in the form of a flopped lay. Thud sounded as he hit ground, and back legs prodded out to the side. Clearly annoyed, but not with her. With his own.. issues. A light chuckle would bestow her as front paws crossed. "Mentor. . Ze sing is, zoes who do not vill be killed. I've had enough of our commers and goers, doing nossing." Tone remained smooth, eerily so. He was not bitching, more.. stating a fact. A for warning if you will. Perhapes simply for the sake of saying I told you so, later down the line if it was deemed neccessary. "Tell me, Monro. Are you a Protector or a Providor." Training was always made easier when you had a long term goal in mind. And while she only had so much say so on where she could go, given .. the final verdict was on the Tsar's, well. It was atleast a starting point when they had an objective. What did she seek? Given her little map, he had his own ideas of where she'd fit in but he was still oh so curious as to what she wanted.
Monro granted the Tsar a gentle nod audits peeling back as words were held out like a Diploma "Yes of course" light chirp escaped throat "I plan to devote only my time and hard work, there will be no slacking: Sleep is for the dead." Cortling lightly shaking head friviously allowing shoulders to quake soon after as she gave a shrug, she found herself feeling antsy as bodiance shifted side to side "Only two" woman remarked "Why not both." Brows quirked upwards sliding a glance back to her little map "I can serve as a scout, no better yet a spy" rumble of laughter escaped her "With this knowledge we can learn anything." Way in over her head "Both Protecter and Provider!"
Drakov: Hrm. Well gotta give points for confidence I suppose. Or.. Cockyness? Hell if mattered. Wasn't like he was any different in the long run. It possed a number of posibilities though. -Tap Chin expression-. It seemed as of late his awkward abundance of needing to talk was now replaced with an abundance of thinking. Jesus. When!? He was always such a DOER. Just.. Do.. Don't talk, don't think to much into it. He just.. Did.. Instinctively. But fuck balls that really wasn't working. No one else knew the inner workers of his fucked up mentality, so he was forced to make sense of it. And voice it no less. Now he had to derive long term plans?! Awkward. Sigh. Ohwell. He'd manage, surely. "Calm yourself." Tone remained forever flat, simply out of default. Protector and Provider, the two were forever one in the same. Though most didn't neccessarily realize it. "Zen I vill have to train you myself." Hohum. He didn't mind, neccessarily. Just meant it'd get done right and he'd be able to learn more about the girl first hand. But hell. Now he had to juggle her sessions with Zod's. "You vill start viss Nastavnik. Zis means knowing everysing about ze pack und it's members. If you fair vell.. Ve vill work toward higher ranks. For now, tell me vhat you already know about Vechnyy." If anything. Frankly it wouldn't strike him as odd if she was at a loss all together.
Monro's features brimmed as a toothy grin slipped across maw "You" again she'd shift excitedly: DEEP BREATHS. "Sorry" woman chirped pinning audits to skull "You'll have to forgive me since there is no higher honor" if wolves could sweat. Was she just given a new rank or perhaps it was a goal, woman thought it best not to press "Depends on what you wish to know, I have spent some time with only a pad-full of our ranks: Your Brother, Smug, Zodiak, Nida, even Cin: Though I don't think she quite considers know me at all." Heavy sigh escaped her as limbs pushed against ground letting limbs slide to and froe as she paced "What would you have me tell you?"
Drakov: Brows furrowed a bit, head lifting from paws to watch the girls movements and frantic behaviour. He'd thought it no more than just over excitement to finally be doing something. Much the same as Mote, but this was different. Much different. Hrm. To bad he was kind of oblivious to swooning antics. Hell it took how many years for him to realize Cinn's infatuation with him? Granted this wasn't QUIT the same but that was the best comparison to the situation. "Indeed.." Paws shift up in a light waving motion, more to himself than anything else. "I'll address it az if you know nossing. Zeems ze easiest. Az i'm sure you know, mineself und mine Brat Vadimir are ze Tsar's.. " An unusual arrangement compared to how things are meant to be. "Ze Tsar's are ze King's, rulers. Most dominant und capable. Zere are usually only one male und/or one female.. Zo, mine Brat und are are very close. So ve vork as von." Basically a once in a life time set up. Future generations would likely not have such a thing occur. Allowing another Tsar meant weakness. It was held as a high honor to be the dominant male or female! And while the brothers cared not for any form of weakness, when it came to one another they were willing to break there morals. "Cinnema holdz ze dominant female title, ze Tsaritsa. Ze two do not neccessarily 'ave to be mated to hold zere ranks. But.. Ve do 'ave a sort of relationship here." Sort of kinda thinger majigabob... yea .. moving on.. Pale bastard would clear his throat, clearly kerffluffed by the topic. UHEM. Anyways. "Below zat are ze Beta's, ze heir's. Ze are next in line vhen ze Tsar's have fallen. Or... Ze vill even slay ze Tsar's if zey sink zem incapable. Ze two train and control a portion of ze pack, as captains or.. secondary alphas. Palach, controls the protective forces. Zis iz vhat Zod is being trained for. Vile Slevdovatel controls ze men * provider forces." INTAKE OF AIR. Atleast now that someone was being trained into Nastavnik, he'd have someone else to spill all this detailed nonsense to the rest of the pack and the newcomers. Hohum. He almost regretted promoting Nida for that reason.. It had been her job, but frankly she wasn't that good at it. She wasn't social enough. "To provide iz done in many vays. In food, hierchy, teaching ze young, und even.. Infultrating osser packs az you said." Depending on how she faired, it was all to possible the good could become the spy of the pack. The Proktor mayhapes. But no getting ahead of yourself there Drak. For all you know she might just vanish like the rest of them. Bah. The idea made him scowl but he ushered it away with a snort. "Nastavnik teaches ze rest of ze packs ze vays of Vechnyy. You are to learn ze meaning and duties of EVERY rank. Not just your own. To teach ze new comers und help ossers rise to zere desired ranks by telling zem vhat iz expected.Promotion to Nastavnik is in reach, but .. You must prove yourself worsy by completeing a mission.. Zodiak's pups are becoming of age to learn ze vays of Vechnyy and find zere place. Talk to von. See vhere you sink zey fit into ze ranks und teach zem vhat zey need to do to rise." A simple enough task, eh? "Report back to me vhen you are done und you vill be promoted to Nastavnik."
Monro listens to each word taking mental notes like a studious prep school kid, she felt his eyes boring a hole in her side causing angst to only bloom even more. A lofty heave of air escaped her as she forced he body to the ground, since when was there so much to learn: she pondered how much work came from running the circus that was Vechnyy. She could almost understand why he'd allow his brother to rule along side him, so much to do so little time "Its quite impressive" woman quipped lightly. Audits perked at the mention of a task that would lead to her promotion, it seemed easy enough really and proved of little worry "I will see to it imeditately, is there anything else you might need?"
Drakov: Easy enough indeed. Though it was mostly out of luck. There lack of numbers made the load that was Nastavnik's job alittle easier. But it was also one of the easiest positions, and for good reason. Naturally the jobs it required would be just as well. It wouldn't truely become a chore until there numbers rose again. "Da. Actually, zere is." There were many things, infact. But most of which he wanted to hold off until they'd move. Oh how tempting though.. Either way, there was still much to do until then. "I 'ave informed Cin to scout to ze west. Vhen ve leave, zat iz ze direction ve vill be goink. I vant a path worked out ahead of time, packs nearby the trail noted. I vish zis move to be as quick and smooth az possible. As a provider, ze intel is apart of your job. Assist Cin in establising a route." Hell she could even map one out in the courtyard just as she'd begun her park map. It'd make informing the rest of the pack easier with a visual: "Try to go in incraments. I do not vant you, on anyvon, gone longer zen needed. I may need assistance viss osser sings." Having her and Cin, and likely even Mote considering Cin was being tasked with pulling the girl into place. Well.. That was a chunk of the pack right there. THey couldnt march out and be gone for days or weeks at a time just to establish a route.
Monro nods graciously moving to peel from the brute "I'll be sure to inform her of my hand in this, likely she'll want to to devise a more rolled out plan" Gut reaction was to head butt and thank him with rough affection, alas she thought better of it and merely granted a light nip to his nose pulling away quickly "The quicker I find one of the childern or her will lead to much quicker return, so if you do not mind excusing me for the day?" Brow arched musingly before peering past the boy as if hoping to catch any other live bodies that might be about
Drakov: Any affection at all was peculiar.. Not neccessarily unwarranted, just. I mean hell it'd taken forever for him to be ok with that sort of thing with Cin, then Zod. ... So even just her peck was enough to grant a subconcious curl of lip and furrow of brows to indicate a puzzled expression. Course it only lasted so long before he brushed it away. "By all means." Light nod would dismiss conversation.
