(12:18:57) Vadimir watched the girls demeanor shift nigh on instantly. Everyone else had accomplished their task, so now it was mainly up to Vad to decide on the girl's truth of worth. Still, he'd glance about, looking mainly toward Cinn. When the brother's weren't around, she was the next in charge, so... stood to reason he'd be expecting her input. "Vot do you zink? Vorth our time?" No need to mince words here. Surely this domestic lovely already had a fair idea of what they were about. Missing body parts, scars galore, built like brick houses. But of course, Vad didn't factor in just how... civilized she was. During his time in the city he had of course encountered plenty of pets. But he often dismissed their naiveté as being the product of their humans and, once freed of those foul to-legged influence. Their natural selves would kick in. [c] (12:26:04) Vadimir, as he will eventually learn, that isn't always the case. Sometimes more... candid methods were in order. Thighs quivered as he shifted his stance, sniffing along the girl's scruff and ears. She still carried hints of her previous life. No matter. A good dunking in the river and some sporty brawling would have her reeking just like the rest of them! "Zat iz all vell and gud, but how much of yourzelf are you willink to dedicate? Zis izn't zomevhere you can juzt valtz in and leave venever you vish. You complain, you die. You are too veak, you die. You compromize ozers...." He'd shrug. Pretty sure she'd gotten the message by now. "Zhow me vot you are villink to give up, vot earthly attachmentz you are able to abandon, in order to find power in it'z truest form. Only zen vill I conzider keepink you." Pauses would be taken to hear Cinn's input, should she have any, before he'd watch and await for Pisce's response. It was a bit of a trick question, not one he was ready to believe [c] (12:26:42) Vadimir she'd catch on to quickly. But if her answer was satisfactory to king and queen alike, Vadimir would give the lady a once over glance, before turning to Cinn to discuss the matter in earnest. (f)
(12:57:21) Cinnema had yet to see her importance in this decision making. Up to this point she was used to following whatever the brothers had decreed and acting after that. But as Vad's obvious looks had her questioning what she had missed that they now were looking for her insight as well. It would probably be a good idea to fill the queen in on her official rank. Having momentarily wandered off to snuggle with Yusef, the only child who seemed to make any impression on her thus far, Cin picked up on hints and would bundle up the tough fluffball with his prized tail against the rocks and came back to the situation. She'd roll her shoulders gently at Vadimir's first questions, green eyes looking over the dog before them from head to tail. "She certainly seems willing," rolled off her tongue with a hint of disinterest. How was she to judge if someone who had just appeared would be worth anything? She was also no judge of domestics, despite knowing the stray Molly for the short time years ago. (c) (12:58:05) Cinnema. Based on the similarities in their behavior, she was wondering if they were all so submissive and friendly. Certainly they all looked quite different. Who knew there was so much variation? Red ear would swivel to catch the demand of offer of worth, catching his pause. Oh, what the hell? "If you offer nothing to us we won't offer anything to you," she'd add, though Vad's own part of the speech had her remembering when Hadlee had done the same. And now was..somewhere else, which wasn't acceptable in Cin's eyes. Pushing that thought away, the pale woman's head would turn to look at the king, expression would depend on what Pi chose to say. But frankly she was almost unconcerned, not seeing any sort of threat in the tresspasser before them. (e)
(13:45:34) Piscean. The domesticated girl was indeed, hopelessly naive. The scares and lack of limbs did not seem of great importance to her, she generally didn't pay attention to such noticable features, what with being surrounded with the diverse apperances of other pet dogs all her life. Poor thing had no idea what was to come with her joining and initiation. Luckily, Pi was good at adapting to her situation, so there was hope. A small glimmer, but hope for the gal none the less. Hopeful pink gaze switched between the king and queen. Oh how she sincerly hoped they would accept her. To the quean's voice her ears perked a bit. "Absolutely," she said happily, a great smile on her snout. "Anytihng you ask, I will do without hesitation." While Pi lacked some basic instincts and skills that her feral counterparts had in strides, she certainly did not lack loyalty. If anything it was her most transferable feature to this lifestyle. One could blame her genetics and disposition, or it could be due to [c] (13:46:44) Piscean. her upbringing as a loyal companion. Either way, dedication and fervent loyalty were not things Pi lacked, or took lightly (suprisingly, what with her lighthearted and carefree nature). Though, those features would need to be curtailed if she was to survive out in the wild amongst these immortals. [d]
(14:25:34) Drakov: Wandering hadn't seemed to cease, it would seem. Things were pieces together, sure. But the only way for that to happen was for HIM to piece them! The pack had become official, a name, ranks.. some even offered up promotions already. But there was more to calculate, to pick prod and repiece together. It was confusing, and worked his brain alittle to much to be honest! Not because he lacked the ability to lead, nono. Pretty much nothing had changed. It was the fact that now he had to figure out a way to make it understandable for everyone else. The brother usually weren't so...talkative.. They weren't so concerned with being understood. So elaboration was never an issue. Or.. Rarely an issue, rather. But now!?[c] (14:29:29) Drakov: The outside world he still couldn't give a single shit about, but those within? Those he were slowly deeming family along side brother? He did want it all to run smoothly for them. They were actually proving worth the effort! Pfft. Travels led him to the north, relishing in the cold temperatures and blankets of fluff that coated the land, but he only stayed long enough to sniff about and learn the lands before returning home. Catching but the ass-end of conversation, pale monstrocity poked into the scene with sights set firmly on the unknown woman. Ear tufts twitched to Vad's words, and Cin's response. Muffled as it was, he got enough to understand. Someone else looking for a place to call "home", hrm? Quiet as could be, Drak lingered towards the girl, unseen and unheard, unless his position had been given away by the others.[c] (14:36:16) Drakov: Not that it mattered, to be frank. His course never faultered. Fuck these bitches comin' in here like LADEDA. No. Done. Without a growl, or even curl of lip, teeth would part once at her hips. Splitting open and latching down onto the lower portion of her spin. Side ways bite would then be jerked into himself, yanking her rear end first flat to the floor. Given he'd succeeded without a back lashing, he'd casually straddle the woman with front paws. One on either side of her shoulder so that nose could be held but a few inches away. Nostrils flared, and it finally forced teeth to expose in a growl. What was this shit?! Some pathetic house pet??? Jesus. Might as well kill her right here! "You're nossing but a toy.. Vhat could you possibly give us?... Apart from a short lived meal."[e]
(14:40:49) Yusef yawned, parting those widdle jaws of his as he toddled out of the den. Normally, pups still had some trouble with balance at this age... But not him. He walked smooth and proud, pulling along his tail trophy with him, only to stop to gaze at the adults. Oh....right. Thats right, something was happening. He wrinkled his nose a little and moved to sit between Vad's paws, wanting to be part of the event but not really knowing what to contribute to the conversation since he was really...well, still a wee babbuu.
(15:03:12) Vadimir noted Cinn's dry-cut delivery, and simply gave a mental shrug in response. Not much, but it got the point across. Don't come here unless you can offer some serious goods yo. Pisces seemed intent on pleasing them, a favorable trait, but not one he was willing to endorse just yet. There was a difference from being willing to serve, to being a suck-up that'd betray you once a seemingly bigger dog happened onto the block. No, their fledgling pack didn't need a cowardly snitch in their ranks. "Very vell, in zat case...." Vocals trailed off, visuals offered giving the appearance of thought, when in actuality he noticed his brother coming in from the rear. Rather then set off the alarm, Vad would drop gaze back down to Pisces, smiling broadly. "In zat caze, you vill be tested und tried until you meet our expectations... first test shall be--" And then words were cut off by Drak's charge and subsuquent attack, to which Vad only registered with a light chuckle. Ah, he couldn't have timed [c] (15:07:04) Vadimir that better even if they had rehearsed it beforehand. Yusef coming back to the realm of the living to situate himself in the throne of Vadimir's paws had the snowy behemoth gazing down at the tot, lowering skull to breath hot, moist air upon the top of his head before finally addressing Drakov. "Brat, zis voman vishes to be von of uz. She zeems villink, but...." He'd gesture vaguely, as if every attribute of her being was under question. Which, it was! "She claimz she vill do anyzink...." Words lapsed into silence as he watched her, seeing how she'd react now that danger had once more become a reality. (f)
(15:24:09) Yusef's little tail-less butt wiggled slightly. Oh boy, someone who wanted to be in the ranks? "Fite me!" he suggested, jumping to his feet and giving a little growl. Would she be willing to fight a pup? Then again, Yusef was also most certainly NOT like other pups. He held his tail-trophy with pride--this was a little ripper. He popped out eyes, humped faces of full grown adults, and tore parts off of his own siblings. And any fight--be it with an adult, or a sibling--was something he would face head on.
(15:34:54) Cinnema had little doubt that, whatever happened, the dog before her wouldn't be confused for long as to what being a part of their tight-knit pack entailed. Though how she so easily overlooked the obvious warning signs, such as the number of scars upon them or the missing tails and ears, the pale woman had no idea. It was kind of obvious. Even the tail her child had been parading around with might have tipped her off. But, alas. Cin was semi-curious as to what this one would have to learn before she was truly a part of their group. Her attention would be taken by aforementioned child coming back out to join them again, gaze narrowing a little. Hadn't she just seen him to sleep? Geez kid. Then alerted to something else going on by the tone of Vad's voice, she turned her head quickly to look at him with instantly tensed muscles. Green gaze then caught Drakov sneaking up on Pi, and she quite obviously relaxed, a smirk appearing upon her face as he likely scared the shit out of the mutt (c) (15:35:20) Cinnema- before them. A rumble in her throat as almost a greeting for the king with a bloody crown, a faint tail wag momentarily for his appearance. Why hello there dear, how are you? All but ignoring any complaints in the form of anything but talking from Pisces, but if she spoke that may warrant some attention. Either way she made no move to get in the way or help the unfortunate interloper in any way! Why should she? She saw as much as the boys how she was in the wrong. Let the kings handle it. (e)
(15:51:14) Piscean. Poor thing had no idea what was coming. She had gotten lax and comfortable with the group around her already, that she wasn't on alert in the slightest. So when the strike from the Tsar hit her back, Pisces was completly stunned. The girl gave no struggle or fight, how could she? THe attack was unexpected adn she didn't even know who, or what her attacker was. The mutt just lay there, stunned and shocked. It didn't take her long to feel the creeping pain from the bite though, a pain she was unfamiliar with. The most damage she ever encountered on her body was from the occaisional stumble in the woods, never from another canine. So when the stunned girl looked up at the white beast above her, well, she was confused. Why did he attack her out of geh blue? Then, Vad's words dawned on her. Test? Was she to fight this hulking beast? Pi had never faught anyone before, much less a male much larger than her. The mutt tensed a bit underneath Drakov, a reflex more than anything. [c] (15:57:15) Piscean. Gal quickly came to, and answered the male. "Anything." It slowly, finally, dawned on the girl that there was a catch to this group. They wouldn't just let her in, not unless she had some use. It made some sense, though Pi couldn't understnd why she was attacked. Nonetheless, her pink side-eyed gaze stayed on the male. "I can hunt..." she said quietly. Honestly it was her only skill, her only usable asset in this wild land. Her domesticated life with the hunter hd taught her how to track, retrieve, and take out small game. "Anything you want." the girl thought a bit. "Anything you find me useful for." Pi meant it, anything. She knew only somewhat of what that would entail, being her gender and what not. The mutt knew she would have to give something, anything, to prove her worth to these feral canines. [d]
(16:01:16) Drakov: Glances from bother others were noted, though solely out of peripherals. What with them being so close to the woman he currently targeted. Apart from that... Focus was 100% locked. Not even due to something personal, to be frank! There was just a lot on his mind. SIGH. Fuck if he was going to end up with another mutt sauntering about like they had special privledges solely because they existed. PFFT. It was sad.. The incident hadn't even been that bad, Paytton.. They handled it with ease. But it was still enough of a realization. There WERE other wolves out there. Other full grown set in there stupid ways beings, and he realized he had begun to leave himself more vulnerable to the outside world than realized. Needless to say he had nary a single concern for his abilities. Pfft. Bring um the fuck on![c] (16:10:40) Drakov: But the point was, he despised the thought of someone getting the upper hand purely due to him easing up. Um. No. Ain't happenin. Tongue slicked across the pale beasts lips, gaze lingering across the womans features as he not-so-patiently awaited her response. Her reaction, atleast. "Hunting is not good enough. If you vish to stay, it vill not be as a member. It vill be as mine "pet" until you become of more use zen just hunting. Not stand ze fuck up." Despite his words, and that first initial growl, tone had turned quit neutral. As he'd spoken, body had shuffled backwards, though not entirely out of her personal space. "Last chance to change your mind.." Poor dear. She was offered barely any time to think, no less respond, before the brute assaulted her poor face. Assuming she'd moved accordingly of course. Zod would have a twin now.[c] (16:15:44) Drakov: For teeth aimed to latch across her skull at the same time paws rose to hug her neck. Slicing through the cartilage, and shredding away one poor ear with a vicious series of shakes left and right, only to twist about and have a go at the other. He was being surprisingly careless about it all. Usually one to keep a more controlled atmosphere. But no. Not this time. He was almost going at JUST for the pleasure, rather than it actually being a test. Once a nice bit of blood and fur tufts had been slung about, and both her ears had been rightfully destroyed, beast would detatch himself from the woman's body with a shove of chest and paws. "She's had the zey test.. she stays.. But she is not von of us yet." SNORT. TROT OVER TO VAD AND CIN All grump and wanting attention. Oh Drak. Calm yo tits.[e]
(16:29:49) Vadimir watched the scene unfold, willing to take up the stand of onlooker. He'd done his part, now it was Drak's turn. Whole point of having two alphas, mwehehe. Eyes crept back toward Yusef as the boy barked out a challenge, only to fall upon deaf ears, or so it would seem. Perhaps Pisces was too caught up in appealing to Drak's better nature... HAHAHA. Jokes... though, in all seriousness, it did present a dilemma. Yusef was increasingly finding himself head and tail ahead of the rest of the brood, and should this continue.... well. Why have one grand puppy and a bunch of sub par puppies, when you can say fuck it and just have the one? Hardly a serious matter of contemplation. But it gave rise to the issue that the boy needed more obstacles, more walls to test his mental and physical strength against. This woman had the potential to solve such an issue. "Vait, Yusef. Let ze voman test herzelf first, zen iz your turn." He'd whisper into the spot on Yus's head where ears ought to have [c] (16:34:31) Vadimir been. Speaking of ears, LOOKIT DAT BLOODSHED MMM MM. Some flecks of the ruby life essence struck his face, which he quite so happily licked off with a look of utmost contentment upon features. This was definitely his favorite part to just about anything. Claws kneaded dirt as he held back the urge to join in. All in due time... besides, he'd already had his fun with Pay. Not it was Drak's turn to tear a bitch up. And oh, what a marvelous job he did! When the ritual was complete, he'd sniff at the newly made wounds, before turning attentions to Drak as he sludged forward toward himself and Cinn. Bass chuckle escaped maw, and Vad was quick to rush his sibling, mouth aiming to encompass his eyes and the bridge of his muzzle, giving a light, comforting shake before releasing to slather cheek with kisses. Yes, good big brother. You're such a good boy! "Az you command." He'd murmur, glancing back to Pi. Welp... she'd gotten what she wanted! (f)
(17:02:52) Cinnema watched with little surprise and a hint of amusement as the newcomer came to realize what was really at stake. Sure, they could tell them that their lives would have to be absolutely dedicated to the pack, that they very well may die and would certainly lose pieces of themselves. But it was a whole different thing when they acted upon it and showed just who they were to outsiders. They'd all learn in time. And for Pisces it was a quick realization it seemed, and yet she was not yet a part. Cin would watch the process of the ears being torn with unblinking stare, dipping her head slightly to the side and looking away when Drakov deemed the test over and approached them. Then a small smile would light her face and tail would wag a couple times, pushing muzzle into the fluff of his neck in a proper greeting. She could only agree with what Vad replied. What he said goes. (c) (17:03:03) Cinnema would give him a brief lick to the side of his face while looking from the side of her eyes at Pi. See, girl? This is mine. A slight smirk transforming rather sparsely scarred face before she'd look between Yusef and Vadimir. Was it the kid's turn to play with the new toy? Perhaps, and if so she'd likely watch. But other things were yet to be known, and she'd nudge Drak with her shoulder without particular care. "So what's this news I haven't heard? Vad would have explained, but," eyes flashed to the dark mutt and back, "he was interrupted." (e)
(17:15:33) Piscean. The mutt rose to her feet on command, her happy go lucky demeanor replaced, her face a blank canvas. "I" she began, but would not finish her acceptance of Drakov's proposal. Again, Pisces was caught off guard, silly girl. The mutt was frozen, as if she could move under' Drako'vs grip anyways. Pink eyes clenched as the king's sharp teeth gripped and tore at her floppy ears. Gone were the genetic mark of her domestication. Blood flowed slowly down the sides of her face, and Pi tried her best not to whimper in pain. At this point, if she betrayed weakness, she feared her life would be ripped from her as easily and painfully as her ears were. When the ordeal was over, Pi just slumped her bum on the ground, wincing every now and then as the pain from the cutting came in waves. Vad's excitement over the ordeal did not go unnoticed, and it left an impression on the, now a bit less naive, girl. This bunch was serious, and now she belonged to them as their pet. Though the term's [c] (17:17:46) Piscean. conotations were not crystal clear to her. Oh how she would find out soon. The murmerings of tests, and the pup's challenge made that evident. Poor girl would grow the fuck up, and fast, or she would become food. So, she sat, listening to the royals speak of news, thinking to herself about what she just got into. [d]
(17:29:18) Drakov: Tongue rolled about inside his own mouth. Attempting to pick out the womans shredded flesh from his teeth as paws carried him towards favored beings. Vad's greeting was offered a parting of jaws and a sway of tail, matched only by a deep reverberating growl that came off as down right horrific but it was nothing but pleasure. As brother detatched, front teeth nipped out at his features only to shift to Cin's affectionate cuddles. He was still getting used to that one.. Well. Not even. It was more so he was still getting used to accepting it. Accepting that he did infact enjoy it. That he enjoyed her. Speaking of... News? Brows furrowed in confusion, gaze lingering to his other half, BUT! They didn't settle for long. He had a hunch he knew just as soon as he looked his brothers way. "Oh. Right. Ve are pack now. Officially."[c] (17:32:26) Drakov: Chin would brush against the white girls skull, as rump twisted him to flop down along side her so that there... new play thing was still very much in sight. He'd proceed to explain things further, there name, the ranks, etc. MORE OBNOXIOUS TALKING. His tone and expression made it clear that, he couldn't stand elaborating on it all. For a second time, no less. Oioi. From here on out he was gonna have to leave this shit up to everyone else. Spread the damn word. He was done. After filling her in on all the happenings, including Zod's promotion as the first of rank. Skull flopped to crossed paws and a grumble echoed out. "Und you... You--... You're zey queen. " GRUMBLE AGAIN. He wasn't even sure what he wanted to make her at first. It took a whole hell of a lot of thought, but he'd decided.[c] (17:36:02) (17:36:02) Richerd is now online. (17:38:55) Drakov: "But you can still be challenge, it's up to you to defend your rank. Und keep everyvon else.. in check." Last half of his words came out murmurred. Rights were won here, no one got special treatment. Even though his attachment to the woman was enough to offer special leeway. She still had to maintain her status. Best make sure everyone knows who you are, and not to mess with you girly! "As for zis sing.. " Attention was quick to befall the new comer, almost beckoning for a change of topic. "I suggest doing vhatever possible to make me, und everyvon else around here happy." Toothy grin would stretch across his maw. Hrm hrm. Clearly there was a number of things, not so good things, winding about in that imagination of his. "Ve also might be moving." <-- Drak drops the ball on that one. Blunt as ever.[e]
(18:33:15) Makarov. Darkness wrapped around the light pelted youngster, ears barely moving as life started to stir within the resting body from the activities going on outside of the her little safe spot within the den. Sickness had arose within Maka as her immune system started deteriorate from mother's milk being ripped from her body instead of slowly being weaned, though that was what she had to live with. Muscles tensed as legs lifted the thin body that was clearly underweight to the visible eye, though this wasn't going to stop her. At first she was giving in, yet there was a voice residing inside of that mind telling her to live and fight. Paws moved against the dirt to drag the figure out of hiding from the darkness, movement slow yet there was no signs of underlining fear present despite being as weak as she was, at least not yet. Yes, she may be weak physically but she didn't dare to let it take a toll on her mindset. There was a need to mask emotions around the adults for the time being.-c (18:33:17) Makarov. Though could such an act last? Vivid eyes searched the small crowd of who could be considered strangers by how long she had been in hiding, clearly seeing that there was fresh bloodshed. Not a single word passed through the female just yet, instead planting her ass against the ground in front of the den mouth to see what was currently happening. Would she even be welcomed back with open arms after being sick? In her mindset, most likely not. -e
(18:49:26) Cortés's good eye rolled within it's socket. The other scarred mess of emptiness flinched, twitching as if an eyeball still held perch within it's darkness. The occasionally feeling of something there always made him feel odd. The phantom touch, some would say. Wasn't something that caused him harm, but damn if it wasn't annoying. A gruff expletive rolled from his tongue, pooling against the evening air like toxins upon water. He was lost. Though, could one be lost when one held no destination in mind? His arms worked overtime was he trotted about in a daze. His mind worked over whether food was a priority, or shelter. Safe, not safe? He moved toward a new area, foliage abundant, and slopes beginning to rise. He slid over the muddy terrain, fresh rain making it hard to grip. He pushed upward, climbing over stone and much until a plateau was reached. However just as he reached the higher ground, a waft of musk slapped his face. His tongue lolled out, almost tasting the scent,--- (18:49:39) Cortés---if he could. "My oh my..." He broke into a smile, his fleshy socket moved in tandem.
(19:11:31) Vadimir shared much of Drak's uncertainty toward offering affection. Odd, considering.... of the two siblings, he'd actually been the more outwardly affectionate. Issue being, however. That it had always been directed toward one person. But now there were several beings wanting his time and energy, his love and-- dare he say it --tenderness. It was a rough transition, but that's what the brothers lived for, right? Overcoming adversity and conquering what nobody believes can ever kneel! When Drak gave Cinn her promotion, along with the lengthy dialogue, Vadimir would turn in the woman's direction to raise his brows like, 'surprise~' while the corners of his lips twitched with the hinting of a grin. Let's see how she handles herself! Body extended as he'd stretch, looking over toward Pisces when Drakov addressed her. "I already have zome zings in mind." He'd mutter, snorting in self satisfaction. Hee hee, how very smart he be. [c] (19:21:21) Vadimir head and neck motioned toward the den when a sickly looking pile of bones and fur emerged, and Vad knew he was gazing upon another one of the pups, this one he was not familiar with in the slightest. Lips peeled back and he uttered a rasping, throaty snarl, ears pinning to his head as body slowly rose to deal with this little ingrate. The thought of sickness, malnurishment. None were put into consideration as he stormed over to the child, forepaws lashing out to strike the child and render her floored. Should he succeed he'd place jaws near her face and growl, before attention was caught by... EGADS. "Vot in ze zeven vaults of hell?!" He whispered harshly to himself. Why all these peeps getting up in their grill? Their pack had legit been finalized DAYS AGO. And now canines were flocking by the hundreds. It's like somehow they knew! Disciplinary measures would have to wait. There was someone else in greater need of a ass whoopin'. If, that is, the fella was as ignorant as the [c] (19:22:54) Vadimir's nostrils detected the aroma of yet another blasted interloper. Without a word to any, Vadimir was on his paws and bolting toward the source of the smell, fully prepairing himself for battle. TALLY HO PIP PIP WOT MY GOOD NIGGA WOT. (f)
(19:36:18) Cinnema had little doubt that Pisces would learn and learn quick, or risk being shoved aside and left or maybe even killed. Depends on what the boys wanted to do with her if she proved to not be any use! Heh. Attention shifted easily to the brother she happened to favor. She didn't quite.. question why she felt like more recently actually giving him some measureable affection. Why worry about that when love was a concept she'd sworn off years ago after father's abandonment? Noo.. she just. Got this happy nice feeling whenever he showed up. Maybe. It was just because of being around each other for so long..right.. Pffft. She'd listen with rapt attention as she was updated on the new name of the pack and ranks etc. Cool, they were really official now! So..what came next? Cin's red ears pricked up at the mention, and grumble, of her being. Queen? That was a. Surprise. She tried to ignore the flutters of weird emotions that she couldn't sort out at the moment and focus on what he was saying, (c) (19:37:09) Cinnema- muttering. A slight nod would be given, of course she expected it could be challenged. But she did catch how he was so uneager to talk about her polished rank and quick to focus on something else. What's up with that, Drak? Nonetheless she didn't try to get him to linger on it. Not with other things to be handled, noo, focus on responsibility and getting things straight. She supposed. It would take getting used to having legit power among them and having to put people in place. Cin's green gaze lingered so briefly on Pisces before her eyes followed Vadimir over to where one of the two female children stood in the den. Nostrils easily detecting scent of sickness on her, and it seemed the younger brother didn't like that a bit. The mother made no move to stop him as he lashed out, but once again tensed as the sound of approach met her ears again. Fucking hell, what was with all of these people coming into their territory? They'd been here for a while, and NOW they started showing?(c) (19:42:13) Cinnema curled her lip instinctively as Vad moved to go investigate, standing and shifting herself in the direction of the den before glimpsing Yus standing among the adults. With a firm grip she'd pick up the tyke and stride over to the den, tail level with spine and every muscle tensed as she would drop her son next to other child and position herself to guard them, just incase it was possibly needed. Nooope too many people were around and that made her quite uncomfortable, near prepared to snap if need be. Especially around her children. Green eyes ghosted over to where Pi remained, pausing a moment before barking out an order. "Pisces, come over here." May as well make some effort to ensure the general safety of the marshmallows' new toy. Even if she wasn't one of them, and guard was sure to be kept in case she decided to make any sort of move against anyone, she was staying so no need to let strangers get to her. Queen-mode activate. (e)
(19:45:52) Piscean. Sat a distance away from the others, trying to ignore her pain. She was unsure if her role allowed her to mingle amongst the pack, or if she was to remain "seen and not heard" but after her initiation, Pi didn't want to tempt the brothers or the queen. So the mutt took to lying on her tum, listening to the words of Drakov and Vad. Moving? So soon? That meant to her she'd need to heed the brother's warning and not slack about, the gal had to prove her worth or risk being abandoned again. Not a preferred outcome, for sure, though it was better than the more likely option of becoming a meal. Train of thought was derailed when Drak adressed her. "I will, I swear." she bowed her head a bit, tail wagging slightly. Strange as it wsa, Pisces felt excited to be given the opportunity to prove her worth. Finally she could do something for herself, other than serve a human. This would be interesting indeed, oh how she hoped she could live up to their expectations, even if it was in [c] (19:49:00) Piscean. servitude to the brothers and the pack. Curioustiy peaked at Vad's words, however. His tone made her a bit wary, but Pisces refused to let that get to her. Mutt would do her best to thrive, and not end up like the sickly pup that emerged from the den. Pink gaze watched her father strike her. Pi did not feel bad for the pup, no she wasn't empathic in this case, but curious. So this is how the pack worked, well it made sense. Weakness = bad. Don't be weak, she noted. Once again, her attention fliquered to a scared stranger. Instantly, Pi jumped up, stepping back to face the stranger. She didn't present a threatening or domineering postuure or attitude, but she was alert. The last thing she would do would let somone attack her out of the blue, three times in one day. [d]
(20:20:46) Drakov: Awkward. Honestly the fact that he actually felt awkward, was what was so awkward. Tha fuck was this? Shit didn't bother him. He never gave a single fuck about anything?! Why this?! Maybe simply because he hadn't a clue what THIS was. Yea let's just go with that. It made sense, afterall. Bastard was none to pleased when faced against something that rattled his senses and left him vulnerable in any way shape or form. Ohwell. There was enough of a scene to be had that the topic was quickly dismissed. Not that that was entirely a good thing.. Considering it seemed all this new company was nothing but bad. Even his own child wandering it's way out of the den half dead. He had to admit he was shocked it was still alive. Afterall, he wasn't expecting them all to live through the shit the fathers had put them through. That was the point. To wean out the weak. But damn, now what were they supposed to do with it? Persistant or not, it was nothing but skin and bone. A waste of space.[c] (20:24:48) Drakov: Head lifted from paws at the sight of Vad lashing out on the pathetic infant, only to redirect his hostility at the smell of an intruder's arrival. He was far less concerned with this when it was only a couple of them but fuck. They had clear indications, markers, a god damn boundary. Were people just itchin to get there asses beat?! Had to be.. SIGH. Gaze would linger to Cin's departing figure, and her beckoning call of the new toy. "Cin. As zey new Queen. I put you in charge of zis bitch." Not entirely, sure. The brothers were not only capable, but full on ENJOYED dealing with certain... tasks.. Punishments, more than anything. But the woman was now given a right of honor! Deemed highest of the females. Time to put that power to use. And hopefully, she'd rise to the challenge and turn Pisc into something of value, someone he'd be willing to accept into there ranks. With the pet in proper paws, Drak rolled his attention back to Vad and the intruder. So many things [c] (20:26:47) Drakov: needed attending to, but for right now. Paws shifted him up and out towards the brawl that was no doubt quick to break out. Plenty able as Vad was, Drak had no intention of leaving him to deal with the shit alone, even if he sauntered over rather casually. Let's see what shit dragged it's sorry carcass into there land this time.[e]
(20:33:58) Yusef's little nosw wrinkled, but he would do as he was told. He trotted back to the mouth of the den with his tail trophy, giving the new girl a somewhat half-hearted and watered-down glare. Fine...Fite me later, bitch. And then someone else appeared! He was, admittedly, rather interested in all of these things--at least until skin-and-bone sibling weakly trotted out and daddy smacked the balls out of her. He snorted a little, but wandered over to her and gave her a sniff--Oh, this one tried to fight him when they were both chunky. Hngh. [SHORT, JUST WATCHING.]
(20:56:08) Cortés watched from afar as commotion began to stir. Wolves moved, hurried, tense. One plucking small balls of fur and disappearing within a large and darkened cavern. His eye moved over to spy the folks, some moving in toward him, as expected. He wasn't surprised to be met with hostility, or any form of assertion. He was an outsider after all. It was slightly amusing though, if he was honest with himself. For all he knew, he could die. But for whatever reason, he didn't budge. If death came, he merely hoped it wasn't swift, but full of fight. Just like the good ol' days. Cortés rolled his shoulders, feeling the joints pop with each movement. God he felt old. Nevertheless he quickly pushed the thought aside and watched as he was approached. His eye brightened, and he prepared himself if their preferred form of introduction was a fight, but he kept his easy smile at the ready. His only ear flopped from side to side as he tried to listen in to any conversation,--- (20:56:53) Cortés---or hear any surprise guests that would decide to hound in on him from either the side or behind. Though his eye was gone, he still had a knack from being able to tell. The ability to hear was an astounding sense to master. "Hola mis amigos," he called out, his thick accent dripping over every word. "I am Cortés." He turned his head to better view both similarly colored males. He noted their postures, and tried to appear less intimidating, if he was. Though he made sure his body rolled in confidence, yet remained alert. He knew a situation could change at the drop of a dime. One minute it was a smiles, taunting. The next, a flurry of fluff and blood. "No sea incómodo... I merely was exploring and stumbled upon your territory. Literally." Like a dog, his expression was normally found within the movement and placement of his tail; at half mast, he held a firm stiffness with a hint of a wag. His tongue lolled out a bit, sweat pooling and dripping upon his chest and paws.
(21:27:03) Vadimir's forward momentum didn't slow even when the brute before him came into greater focus. He was a grizzled, robust thing... rather easy on the eyes, truth be told. Ears detected the voice of Drak and Cinn and Pi, their voices mingling together as the distance between them grew wider. Pawsteps not his own registered, figuring it was either Drak or Cinn, perhaps both. But ultimately his mind's focus remained on the prize before him. That damn canine who just stood there looking like a boss. But was he really...? Vadimir had met so many fakers He was done trying to pander to the mediocrity that was an inflated ego. Yet even as he neared, vocals from the male whom he so fastly approached rung out, causing eyes to squint menacingly. Well now, fancy that. Cortes, hmmm? Well then... "FIGHT ME, CORTES!" Hey, Vad actually gave a warning! Unusual for someone like him. If this guy was going to act cool as a cucumber, then the ivory monster was going to see if he lived up to appearances [c] (21:28:26) Vadimir. As the distance cut down to mere feet, Vadimir's jaws flung open as he aimed deadly dentition straight for Cortes's face, mentally pacing himself as collision became an inevitability. (f)
(21:43:56) Cinnema as she turned to stand guard over her present children, turned her head to hear Drak's call and proclamation that she would be taking Pisces under her wing. A quick nod would be given in understanding, turning to look at the woman who had seemed to ignore the order to come to the den. Whelp. C'mon girl. With a glance to make sure her children would stay put, the pale queen would march right up and latch on to the mutt's scruff not kindly to yank her in the direction of the den. There's you're number 3 for the day! "Come now or you'll be off with more than torn ears," was her only warning as she would lead her to where kids were stashed, fur obviously bristling as she would then sit right in the way of all 3 of them and keep ears alert for anyone who so chose to approach her. Hmph.
(22:12:31) Drakov: Everyone behind him was left at exactly that. Behind him. Simply because there was no concern to be had. Cin could, at the very least, if something went down, hold her own long enough for him to jump in and intervene. So attention had fallen entirely onto this Cortes, and Vad jumping into action. Despite the aggervation he had brewing from past events, Paytton and Piscean, he seemed to mellow at the sight of what was unfolding before him. More specifically, at Cort's method of handling it all. Quick pace slowed, mind taking over in place of what instinctive muscles had originally planned. So rather than head in stead fast and assist, he came to a gradual hault as close as possible without getting in the way of things. Limbs slowly bent, lowering him to the ground to get nice and comfy for this front row seat show.[c] (22:13:23) Smug: Finally my internet ;;] (22:13:43) Drakov: Paws crossed before him, head tilting here and there to watch the brawl unfold. Moving only if neccessary for a better view or to get out the damned way! But apart from that. He was a side watcher unless needed. Judging each and every action Cort had to offer.[e]
(22:18:25) Cortés's words fell on deaf ears, it would seem. Though he didn't have time to ponder on it. He watched as the other's movement didn't slow down, but merely picked up. He clenched his jaw, and said no more. He too flung himself forward, carefully pinpointing his opponent's trajectory, though really, since his depth perception was a bit off, he guessed. The face. It was the number one thing, along with aiming for the neck. Cortés moved quickly, or as quick as he could given the moment, and attempted to aim his jaws downward toward the front right limb of his opponent. Hopefully with the man moving forward at a running pace, it would get within range enough for him to grab hold, and pull the leg toward the left side of the body, twisting in hopes of rolling the man over. But again, things were possible where his plans wouldn't work to his favor, especially since this man was moving forward. A collision of both Cort's and this man's body could cause both men sprawling, especially--- (22:18:55) Cortés---if Cort was making his way under, rather than over. So he mentally prepared himself for any pain that would befall his body. Still, excitement coursed through him. His blood pumped and his muscles tensed anxiously. He couldn't concentrate on the second body, and her very well knew that two on one was a possibility. He didn't know if he could handle such a fight, but he'd very well get down and dirty trying. He didn't bother causing too much of a performance.
(22:44:01) Vadimir had been watching the male the whole while he stampeded toward him, so when Cortes rose to the occasion and replied with a charge of his own, every inch of his anatomy became apparent. Thus when it was clear his aim directed toward Vad's limb, Vadimir took the last inches of distance in a close-grounded leap. Muscled shoulder would aim toward Cortes's open maw, hoping to smash into it and thus knock him back. If this could be achieved, in the seconds after impact Vad would swing head and neck to snap at the man's face, hoping to catch hold of his muzzle or cheek in the same moment as paws once more found connection with the ground. Should he find purchase he'd allow body to fall, pulling Cortez with him in a canine version of a suplex.
(23:02:48) Cortés's head didn't land low enough, not with the time frame he was provided. Instead he felt his teeth sink into the man's shoulder. The force of the impact reared him backward. Cort tried to push himself forward despite the collision, making him push his front before falling backward. However in the seconds that this took place, Cort would attempt to wrap his paws around the man, using his dew claws for gripping. His head would feel the pinch, and then ultimate pull of the other's teeth on his cheek. Which was fine. The pain aside, Cort would attempt to twist his face in the same direction the male was pulling. Like a horse on a rein. At this point, they were sure to have fallen upon the ground. Cort would attempt to twist his cheek from his opponent's grasp, no matter how painful and bloody the movement would be, and attempt to quickly jab his teeth toward the man's eye socket. Of course the action would be jerky, considering his cheek was being held, so all the while--- (23:03:21) Cortés---his legs thrashed beneath him wildly towards the man's genitalia as a second mode of offense. Of course there was no real aim for them, but if it should happen, well. One less wolf to procreate wasn't so bad. There was no honor in low blows, but at the moment, honor wasn't on his mind.
(23:31:18) Vadimir hit the ground hard, as did Cortes, but to the both of them it seemed... like more an initiation than actual damage-causing movement. Like a handshake. Paws lashed out to thrust into the man's thick chest, only to find that Cortes had similar motives. Forelimbs entangled into each other they were left to duel with just their mouths. The more Cortez squirmed, the more Vadimir had to work to keep his hold. Back legs kicked at the ground to give elevation, all the while Vad would try to force his weight onto the male's face, accomplishing the dual purpose of keeping him in place, and forcing his head to be pinned to the ground. Finally on the second attempt Vad felt back legs gain secure traction on the ground, but in so doing his equalibrium shifted, allowing for Cortes to rip away from the Tsar. [c] (23:36:02) Vadimir, when he felt teeth dislodge from flesh swung his head to meet Cortes, and given their already close proximity, it didn't take long for the second clash. If successful Vadimir and Cortes would have jaws locked together, and should that be the case. Vad would aim to wrench Cortes's head cruelly to the side before rearing onto firmly planted rear legs, intent to push off in a sloping arc and slam Cortes's kull into the ground. (f)
(23:59:31) Cortés felt his face physically pinned to the ground. He took a breath, and pushed against the male's body using his own legs. Almost like he were a diving board, and he the diver. But rather than jumping into a pool, he was merely skidding his body away so that he could stand up. It didn't take long for him to be upright, but be forced to fight teeth by teeth with the man again. Like swordplay, they were at a stalemate, until the man tried to move his head toward the side. The arc motion wasn't ignored, and in fact, Cortes used the sweep to his own advantage. To counter the arc, Cortes would quickly try to back up, hopefully bringing the man's weight to be his own downfall. Pain seared through him as his flesh ripped open, and blood spilled forth, but it would be worth it If he succeeded. At the rate the male would be going to do his downward arc, it should be enough for the man to lower himself enough to the point that Cort could either get to his eyes or muzzle. He'd take the--- (23:59:44) Cortés---when presented, and immediately sink his bloodied teeth into anything within that area.
(00:14:35) Vadimir let out an admittedly giddy, even playful growl. This guy... this guy was good! But that incensed Vadimir to try even harder to get the upper hand. As Cortes worked to stand Vad would take the man's attempts to fully rise as an oppurtunity to proceed with his plan as before. Vad hadn't tried to stand upright for this exact reason. His front limbs were compromised, and the act of getting up left him vulnerable from attacks from below. So he navigated his body to press onto Cortes's, not to try and crush him with weight. Cause pfft, they were likely the same! No, it was to apply pressure and keep his movements dictated by the snowy fluffmeister. To control the head is to control the body. When Cortes yanked backward, Vadimir would press off with his back legs, forcing him into the man even as he tried to find a firm stance. [c] (00:21:55) Vadimir mutual damage would ensue, for even as Vad tore up Cortes, so too would his own face suffer. Their blood would pool beneath them, raining to the floor and coating Vadimir's breast in crimson. Should his maneuver work he would wrap paws around Cortes's middle, hoping to land on top of them as they both once more plummeted, Vad working to use his opponent's off-kilter position to see him land on that very vulnerability. Should he succeed he'd give a short shake and a low growl, muttering out, "Ve are done." And, should Cortes chill the fuck down, Vad would work to untangle them from one another and step back. Whew... that was actually... really fun. Much more fun than he'd been expecting. (f)
