Drakov: The group had split ways, taking to mark turf and seek out new lands. Well.. That was Nida and Cinnema's job anyways. Drakov and Vadimir, however, were on the search of some not so desirables lingering in the area. Humans. Now that winter was dwindling into sunny boiling days, animals of all kinds were migrating back to lush lands such as this. or... Simply coming out of hiding. What better a time for poachers to get there fill? Easy enough for the unsuspecting wild life, but to two dogs whome had there fair share of god awful experiences with the creatures, they wouldn't be so lucky. Course.. There was always the possibility they'd go out and find nothing. Which, frankly, he was hopeing for. This location was perfect in terms of prey water and convencience, but alas if hunters were a danger is completely fucked over all the good it provided them. Paws carried the brothers along. Nostrils flaring to take in scent after scent. So many new smells, to which he simply added to with a hiked up leg and another stream of piss to mark the land. Hrm. Eyes soon flicked up to settle on a herd a good ways off grazing on the other side of the lake. Just as he'd thought. Not that they were concerned with it at te time being, but. It was good to know they were indeed there. As much as he didn't want to go up the mountain, the idea still lingered. They'd struggle carrying downed prey back to the den, but.. It seemed a safer living arrangement. The thought forced his gaze to drift up the slope, and cliffs. Taking in the scene. Lovely vantage point at that. "Vhat about up zere, brat?" He'd question off to his younger brother.
Vadimir was right beside brother dear as they scouted and scrunged up any sign that humans were still lurking about their potential domicile. Utter silence ingulfed the younger of the two, his body language doing all the talk that was necessary, When a notable landmark came into sight, he'd likewise urinate to add claim to the land and dissuade any woe-begone currs to stay the hell away. And for those stupid scrubs that came in anyway? Vadimir licked his lips, savoring the phantom stench of fetid meat. Ah, nothing like a healthy helping of dumbass to lighten the mood. Humans on the other hand, while likewise delicious. Provided a large hampering in their secured living. Not only did they pose a threat to them directly, but also were very likely to encroach on their dining delights. In short? They were bad news all around. paws halted when Drakov stopped to survey the potential digs. Vad's tongue slinked paws black lips and wetted his dental weaponry, eyeing first the herd and then the steep rise ahead with a critical eye. "Vemindz me of Legionz abode." There had been plenty of mountain goats and wooly sheep. Perhaps this place was no different? "Definitely a gud vespite from varmer tempz....." All in all the potential hardships didn't strike him as overly worrisome. "Ve can uze it for now, vait to zee if any hoomanz are about." Better to see them at a distance, than up close and personal. At least until they knew whether they were the hapless kind, or the gun-toting variety. "I zuppoze... ve zould... ask ze ozerz..." Though frankly, whatever their verdict. He wasn't going to be caught dead or alive wallowing in human funk. He'd been captured once. Fuck that shit.
Nida separated from Cin in order to divide the work and get the work done faster. Along the way, she made a detour though managed to return, back to the familiar rocky structure. Her legs groaned in protest with every dragged step she stole before she hunkered down to the ground underfoot, blunt ears curved back, and flopped onto her side. Rather than bother failing each paw with a languid stretch, she laid there and paid no mind to the subsiding ache developing and sapping at the energy she had. Fat Nida is fat. A paw came down on a downy, for the moment, clump of fur about her muzzle; her posture best described with the adjective lazy and unbecoming, with a trademark exhausted look in her face.
Zodiak was restless, His thoughts locked on the naked bears he'd heard tale of. Paranoia grasped his mind as ears flicked at every shift in the trees. The damned birds overhead didn't help. His thoughts also lingered on the source of the tale, the female of whom he'd met twice now. The yearling stood and paced in his sand pit, wanting to follow after her. But what would he say? what would she say? She'd probably ask what the hell was wrong with him. A heavy sigh was exhaled and he paced over to his favored mushroom patch, dropping his body onto the fungi and rolling in their intoxicating scent. Rising to all fours he'd linger for a moment, rather enjoying whatever power the shrooms had on his nostrils before quickly trotting toward the edge of the territory. As the pack scents faded, zodi stopped to freshen up the border before heading off after Nida's scent. He wasn't sure what he was doing or what he would find. All he knew was he wanted to be around her right now. Poor confused pup. He traveled across the open meadow for what seemed like ages before reaching the downstream end of the river that flowed past his own home. Paws stopped dead at the water's edge and the boy paced, he had to cross but the conflicting thoughts in his head made him hesitate. Was he really about to do this over a girl, ah hell... Eyes squinted shut and the boy took a few paces back before running and leaping as far as he could across, which, honestly, wasn't very far. He was submerged up to his back in the river and gasped, panicking for a moment. In his dreams he'd always been unable to swim, but as he moved his paws and his toes scrapped the bottom he was releived to say the least. Zodi quickly crossed and clambered onto the bank littered with cattails. He shook violently to releive himself of the water "damnit..." he grumbled. Her scent was stronger on this side of the river so he had to be close. Zodi emerged from the brush only to set eyes on two rather large wolves of whom most likely knew he was there with all the noise he'd been making. Young pup was stuck in his place, unsure of what his next move would be.
Drakov: Rump settled to the earth below, though not in a means to relax, but more so.. A chance for a new perspective. Hrm. Brothers words snatched him up from wandering thought. Ah yes.. Legion. He didn't outwardly prevent himself from thinking of the pack, but.. It wasn't something that crossed his mind often. Atleast not in such detail. Any attention given was usually in the general sense. Thinking of 'packs' as a whole, and the lifestyle it braught. How did things go living there? Hell they were so young he wasn't even sure.. Brows furrowed in deep though, trying to recollect what lost memory held hostage. Did it matter, actually? Hrm. Not really, he supposed. It had enough pros that the cons weren't an issue. "Da. Ve shall inform zey girls, und head north from here." Head tilted back where he stood, jaws forming an O to howl out a retrieving call to the fair ladies and beckon them forth. Though.. His alert was cut off at the sound of splashing. Eyes snapped to attention, body shifting to stand though he didn't come off outwardly aggressive for the time being. He was simply.. Very unconcerned. Clearly oh to confident in his own proclaimed status. Sights shifted to Vadimir for but a momment, as if seeking some form of reaction. Did he know who this was? Well Nida said there were definately other wolves about. So, it wasn't to surprising. But was this canine of a pack? That was a question worth poking into. A deep, gruffing sound echoed forth from the male, beckoning the strangers attention. "Privet. Und who might you be?" Blunt and to the point. Nothing unusual there.
Vadimir took his brother's decision with a light nod. Then it was settled. Did that mean he'd get a good night's sleep? Probably not. But it at least put him at ease that he wouldn't have to bother himself with worrying too much about dumb hairless monkeys. At least for now. He was nigh certain that humans wouldn't venture up onto the mountain unless their needs were dire. Having lived in the city Vadimir knew if there was one thing homo sapiens valued most, it was their luxury. Wry face was made as he remembered chowing down on some individuals, made nigh entirely of fat. He nearly gagged, but forced himself to erode the memory by listening to the sweet tune of his brother's voice as he beckoned their ladies forth. When the splashing sound reached them Vadimir's reaction was far less laxed than Drakov's. He was bolting toward the source, jaws flying open to sink teeth into whatever decided to arrive to their new home unnanounced. when he saw it was a fellow canine, body lowered and his mad rush slowed as he skidded to a stop, glare sent in the youngsters direction, before body relaxed and he'd cast a glance toward Drak, who in turn looked at him as if to ask if this fellow was familiar. Vadi would shake his head, then look back to Zodi, nose quivering as he tried to decipher where this young gent was from. All he could detect was... pungent mushrooms. Blegh. "Better anzer quickly..." Even though mad-long rush had ceased, blunt claws still raked at the soil and limbs remain bent at the joints, ready to pounce should the stranger not offer a viabl explanation.
Nida's neck bent with an obtuse curl when she'd heard a sound piercing the needlelike silence and immediately coerced to a stand with the curtesy of rousing feet. With a lousy shake reverberating and all the girth sprawling into motion, ears slapping either side of visage, Nida floppily saunters off to the origin of the source. The dark she-wolf crosses the river and delays in yet another shaking off, to eventually take notice of the Drak and Vad and .. Her eyes narrow while trading glances between all three. Great. She slunk surreptitiously forward and sandwich between the boys, as if to prevent any from doing something brash without forethought. Head level with spine, tail limply wagging, and eyes on Vad since he was closer .. " He isn't dangerous." At least .. not to her anyway.
Zodiak had yet to organize his thoughts before one of the large brutes was hauling across the small distance that separated them. The boy was young but mature enough to defend himself. Hackles rose and his tail formed a plank extending from his rump. Zodi's lips peeled back in a wide snarl revealing not only his freshly grown adult teeth absent the decay of an aged wolf, but also the fear that lingered in the back of his mind. He'd yet to establish himself with raven, having always been "beneath" him out of habbit. It was difficult to do otherwise when most of their pack had disbursed and the two males seemed to be all that remain. A growl reverberated in his chest but failed to exit past his bared fangs. When the brute ceased his approach zodi relaxed some, sheathing his fangs behind his dampened lips. The voice of the other reached his ears and he flicked them forward at his accent, that was...interesting, to say the least. Then the other's voice lulled forth and zodiak felt the urgency to speak. He lowered his head respectfully, "I'm Zodi..." he spoke hesitantly, "I didn't mean to..er..intrude I was only looking for--" Then there she was, the whole reason for this crazy escapade he was on. "Nida!" he bolted out, head and ears perking up. Now what would his explanation be for all of this. He hoped he wasn't making a mistake.
Stomp. Hellion decided it was best to get a move on, leaving behind the dump she called home for the past year or so. There were new lands to be explored, new kingdoms to be conquered, and new women to woo! It wasn't been long before she started tresspassing into unknown lands, crossing borders of packs whose scents had been erased with time. Orange eyes scanned in front of her, noticing figures moving in the distance. Ears pricked at the sound of a possible scuffle, and with her interest piqued she continued forth. A bemused smirk took over her lips when the group was close enough to distinguish, demeanor nonchalant but not submissive. Chest vibrated with a chuckle, ass planting in the dirt a few feet away, content to watch the scandal without introducing herself.
Cinnema had found some nice cozy corner to curl up in somewhere in the continually growing grass, a nice spot that was a little high, providing her some shade. She'd been so tired today, for a reason she wasn't guessing at. Heh. As she dozed lightly, Drakov's howl managed to reach her ears. It was a slow moment before she sighed and pushed herself up on dark legs, briefly stretching and yawning before shaking her head and getting herself over to the general location where the noise had originated. Sniffing the air as she approached, she realized- it was not only familiar wolves in the immediate area. Cin's fur bristled, ears pressing forward. She wasn't all that keen on the idea of meeting new faces right now. Quickly, bright green eyes swept over the scene, locating every face, before sliding closer. Keeping slightly away, she came to stand at Drak's side. "What's up?" she'd say in a low tone, gaze flicking around. She was obviously on edge, mostly since there seemed to be some sort of confrontation going on, but she wasn't entirely sure yet.
Drakov: Vadim's quick to charge reaction had Drak jerking in place. Though.. as close as he came to bolting along side brother, he forced paws to anchor down. It was second nature to be at Vadimir's side when 'danger' was on the brain, but, the only thing he could fathom being enough to put either of them on edge was the likes of man-kind. And... He wasn't so sure they could travel across such a thing?! Or could they? Why. It wasn't something he'd ever thought about. Something to ponder over later perhapes, but for now the strange new arrival was the center of his attention. Paws pushed him forth, a chance to kill the distance between himself, brother and new comer, and a chance to poke into his personal space. Hostile reaction wasn't even given the light of day, instead he took to flaring nostrils and wiffing up what he could about the lad. Though.. Nida's burst into the scene wad anticipated, he wasn't at all expecting her to wedge herself in the middle of things. Lip curled, and maw parted to snap teeth around the girls muzzle to force her to the floor. He was being.. Fairly decent today! Strangers weren't a fuss, neccessarily. And niether was Nida's relationship with the lad, but the fact the two aimed to conjoin in some reunion so quickly and with little explaination wasn't something he deemed acceptable. Atleast, not in his presence. Harhar. Zor was regarded with a flash of yellow tinted teeth, tongue flicking out across them. Then Cin poked her little head up and ushered up questions similar to his own, though they hadn't been voiced. "I vould like to know, myself. Nida... Who is your.. friend?" Gaze was neatly settled on the lad, despite everything else. It hadn't left him at all, and would not for a time.
Vadimir found Zodi's attempt at self defense admirable, if a little ill-timed. Don't start what you can't finish! Though, who was Vad to say whether this guy could hold his own or not? The idea had him wishing to attack, just to test his mettle and see if he could give him a decent run for his money. But oh, Nida just HAD to come in and proclaim that he, too, wasn't allowed on the menu. Why was everyone friends?! "I zink I can judge vot iz dangerouz an vot izn't on mine own, voman." He'd snarl disdainfully. When Drakov moved in to reprimand Nida's forced entry, Vadimir's attention would remain on Zodi, dual toned eyes moving from one inch to the next of his anatomy, marveling the level of pristine novelty the lad carried throughout his being. It reminded him of a lovely virgin flower in full bloom, it's petals yet to be plucked. Docked tail rose in the air, not in a display of dominance but of interest, as demonstrated by it's faint wiggle. Vadimir's attention then drew to the near joint appearance of both Stomp and Cinn. When both queries birthed from Cinn and brother alike, Vadimir would decide a third would be redundant. Zodi looked like he'd gotten the message anyway, so there was no point in being all growly puffy. Stomp, on the other hand... "An' vot of you, grazz'opper?" What was she trying to accomplish, sitting off at a distance? Vad was apt to wonder just what it was about him and his brother that drew so much attention from others. Really... what was so special about their little famry?
Nida's head uplift at her name dropped in the open, and her tail flops unceremoniously due to being disarmed. Her ears curled back as she spared a glance toward Zodi. However, as she appointed the brothers the focal point of her attention, teeth got a hold of her muzzle and, as a result, was influenced to make peace with gravity. Her upper torso bowed, shifting weight to shove her shoulder partially to the ground, suppressed snarls continuously rippling from her throat.. Oh, and screw Vad. She will make sure to piddle where he wontedly sleeps! Her defensive posturing ended upon a voice - Cin's, in fact- gracing her ears, squelching the noise with a fold. Nida arises back on her feet once the scolding comes to a close, and shook to dislodge the residue of that moment. " Zodi..." Her voice trails. because soon after supplying an easy enough answer toward Drak, eyed the stranger Vad noticed. Uhm .. didn't know her, and therefore lets her fickle focus linger on the interloper for a space of moments descending into details with minute interest.
Zodiak remained unsure about the two males, the both of them seemed a bit..unpredictable, which made his fur stand on end. Eyes would shift to the arrival of another wolf, zodi wasn't sure if this one was another pack member or not but since the beast just sat there he'd pay it no mind for now. As eyes shifted back to the trio he noticed that now there were four. Oy' How many wolves were going to join this little party? Considering her position to the others it seemed easier to deem her a member of their pack. Zodi would allow his eyes to roll in the moment the male closest to him was too busy addressing nida to notice. The water on his fur that was now cooler from the evening air ran down his pelt fibers to the skin beneath triggering his reflex to shake. Chill ran up his spine and he let it out with an uncontrollable fury. Muscles spasmed and pelt shifted over his flesh, releasing hundreds of water droplets that would most likely mist the male closest to him. oops. However, following the moment of releif, zodi would stiffen. Amber eyes were locked on the distant brute as he locked jaws onto nida's muzzle. A heavy battle played out within as he fought desparately not to move, the creases along the top of his muzzle wrinkling but never revealing pearly whites. He felt like he was being choked, wanting so badly to snarl and growl but knowing he was in no position to do so. Was this what he had to look forward to with his own guardian? New feelings of dominance? As nida rose he relaxed some, eyes shifting to the male closest to him as he questioned the distant wolf. Zodi's ears pressed back and he chanced a step to the side still a tad unsure about where to go from this point. Especially considering the rather large body guard that stood between him and nida.
Cinnema's focus quickly landed on Zodiak, noticing now that Nida seemed to have come to his aid, gaze narrowing slightly. When had they met? Nida hadn't said anything about him.. Although, Nida had also been a little upset with Cin recently, so she'd most likely just neglected to say anything about it. Hmm. Cin wasn't sure she liked that her friend jumping to someone else's aid, when she didn't know them. It seemed Drakov was on top of that though; Cinnema quietly shifted gaze away from punishment being handed down. No need to stare. Everyone shifted and moved, and she didn't see much point in standing up front, and she didn't feel the need to speak anyway. Still sleepy girl would release a puff of breath near Drakov's shoulder before slipping backward, away from the stranger, and keeping a few paces back, eyes and ears alert for signs of any other new approach while everyone cleared things up. Being anxious, movement helped, as well as kept her focused and pushed drowsiness back. Weary and unconcerned with conversation, Cin would pause for half a minute before moving again, and repeat, keeping a distance watch.
Drakov: Peculiar indeed. It'd been some time since he'd really... interacted in such a way. With so many strangers. It felt repetative almost. Keeping people in line, for the sake of his own proclaimed status. As Cin continueously seemed to say.. They got the picture, he didn't need to keep putting them in there place. And yet, they still seemed to challenge things? Oh how puzzling. Sigh. When they were younger it made alittle more sense. He was young, they were a band of yearling loners tussling it out for dominance. Stubborn and persistant. But now? Fuck now he was half-tempted to just cut a bitch. GRUMBLE. Own eyes rolled at Nida's words, having mimiced the stranger in introducing him by his name. Oii. "I meant.. Who is he to you? Not vhat is his name." Feintest of growls would echo out behind his tone, purely in mild annoyance but nothing that braught out any actual temper. Luckily enough. "Und vhy is he here..?" Sights shuffled between both Nida and the stranger, a passing glance given to Vadim from time to time but he remained stiff and still up until Cin's close proximity was registered. Sights snapped her way, and head shifted back so that parted maw could lightly grasp around her nose. Absolute most affection anyone but Vadimir would ever recieve! Though when she proceeded to circle about, he refocused back on the task at hand. Lip curled a tad, before he pushed forward, Nida given a stare for but a momment before he ushered past, right between her and Zod, to pause and give a challenging stare. Regardless of her explaination, he had other things to worry about. "Do not cross me or mine Brat und we won't 'ave a problem, am I clear?" Alittle fair warning, more so than a threat. So that later he could distinctly say 'I told you so'. "We're moving up zey mountain, und away from hooman hunting grounds. Unless you found something to zey east? I think we'll be closer to prey along zey west." Aka. Unless someone had a better plan, they were moving out right here and now!
Vadimir saw that, true to his spurr of the moment nickname. The stranger indeed hopped away without uttering so much as a chirp. Part of him liked the idea of giving chase, but oh, there was stuff to be done here. Things to be handled. Things that, like the water incident. He couldn't help but find utterly uneccessary. But sure, let's just have ourselves a picnic! Vadimir huffed as Drakov, in his sultry, would-be diplomatic tone, ushered forth the same question a second time. Vad would allow this to speak as the final warning. Probably should actually, y'know, speak it aloud. But that's not how he did things. Plus, if they were too dumb to catch a hint, what was the point in wasting breath he could use for other things? Attention returned to Zodi, vocals leaving maw in a gruff chuckle. "Funny how you, but a sprite. Zeem to understand more zan an adult." if you wanted to get pissy? Sure, be pissy! You wanted to show dominance? Go right for it! But Vadimir's sole requirement for these luxuries were, and always will be; If you deal it, be prepared to take it. Zodi's shaking had him momentarily squinting to prevent any of the wayward droplets from entering his eyes, though on the whole was unphazed by the action. Why, it was a marvelous way to cool off. Striding closer to Zodiak Vad would sniff, neck extending to try and get a second whiff of his identity. Should neither female disclose worthy eligible alternatives, Vadimir would roll muscular shoulders and motion toward the mountain. Let's go yo.
Nida takes a sharp intake of breath then plays a sharp snort on the next exhale. Her tongue educes itself and walks about her blunt muzzle as Drak restates his question, " he is my friend." Her eyes went between Cin when there was interaction made, wondering what she missed .. Bonding time with the brothers most likely.. No words would be said, as her fickle focus was grabbed by the spray of water peppered on her fur here and there, munching on the silence and mulling over a school of thoughts. Vad's comment was duly noted with a flick of an ear before she casts a glance to Drak informing the group of their move. The east is ill-suited for them supposedly, or they encountered a camp of humans along the way. Something something. If Cin hadn't spoke up about a plot of land better than the suggested mountains, she would set off for the mountains pointedly. Too grumpy.
Zodiak's gaze was continually shifting between the wolves, listening mostly. Man this was getting akward. Gaze shifted to the wolf nearest him as he spoke, this time what seemed half a compliment. Had it been that obvious that zodi was going through "something" in the moment nida was being punished? Hell he didnt even know what he was going through and what really brought him here in the first place. His chest sank a little as the exact question was brought up, more to nida than himself but really, how would she know why he'd shown up so unexpectedly? A heavy sigh was released and zodi quickly stiffened as the male shifted closer to him. His hackles rose ever so slightly and the whites of his eyes shown as he gazed at an angle. When distance was once again given zodi would extend his nose toward the male, not nearly as close, but close enough to pick up some sort of a scent. Attention quickly drew from him, however, as nida spoke words of friendship. His tail gave a faint wag, he was glad she didn't completely reject him as he'd subconciously thought she would. Ears twitched as the other male spoke and he remained silent but allowed his lobes to twist back. yeah dude no problem. Although it may be a problem if nida is with them and he--ugh nevermind. Zodi watched as the one motioned for the pack to move. Well so much for that. He sighed and took a step back before casting his gaze toward nida.
Cinnema didn't care to gather much information about the male who'd apparently shown up in their midst. She wasn't interested, not that anything was interesting to her at the moment. She was impartial and sleepy, and frankly it was none of her business anyway. Well, not that that stopped some.. Cin's ears would lower slightly in quick surprise as Drakov bit gently at her nose, only in reaction to the little display. Huh. She didn't mind it, she just hadn't expected it. This was before slipping off to pace and keep watch. She kept distance only until it was announced that they were going to get a move on, relocating to somewhere else! Cin's head turned toward their voices, pausing and waiting almost expectantly for them to all start moving. Geez, all the movement. She was curious as to what prompted them this time, the shift from east to north, to avoid humans? Had they had a run-in with them? Ugh. If that was the case then she'd be more than happy to get out of the way. No need for further danger. As the others would start moving along, she'd unconsciously position herself beside Drak again, giving a side glance to Zodiak. Hm, what was the boy gonna do? Eyes shifted to Nida then for a brief moment, thoughts working in her mind. But maybe she was still mad at Cin.. So may as well not push it? Regardless, she'd wag tail briefly at her, before migration began!
Drakov: Oh things weren't as simple as they seemed at the momment. Nono. Nothing had changed since there first meeting. Since he'd first stumbled apon Cin and Nida. Or even long before that. Vad and Drak grew up in a place where the weak weren't welcomed. Where you had to earn your right to live, or you were nothing but a waste of space and energy. This 'friend' of Nida's was allowed for the time being, but if he turned out to be someone who saught to stick around, some who Nida saught to keep well.. He'd have to earn such a thing. He'd had to earn his right to live. But.. That was a mattered to be addressed once they'd found there new site and staked claim on it. Whether he chose to follow, or wished only to remain a lingering figure was entirely on him. Being out in the open as they were, he was far less concerned with enforcing rules when such a thing could be saved for there new found territory. Speaking of.. He was hopeful it warranted protection. Needless to say, it was unlikely the group would cross paths with the creatures as frequently as there caution made it seem. But.. From past experience, the boys knew it only took that one time. That one bad incident to fuck shit up. Brother was regarded with a glance and a mildly toothy grin, nub of a tail swaying slowly behind behind him. Oddly enough, brother on one side and Cin on the other. He enjoyed it. "Vell then. Shall we?" Not like that was really a question but ya know! "Try to erm... spread out a little. Look for prey or shelter." and on they went down the yellow brick road.
-------
Drakov: Nostrils flared as he motioned uphill. It felt nice, infact. One of the only things about Legion's lands he enjoyed. The feeling of excercise without actually doing so. Mm. More specially, all the cliffs and rocks looked like a fucking playground, waiting to be trained on. Yum. Gaze fluttered about, drifting from one canine to the next, as they all split this way and that to scout about. Trails led him across rapid waters, a very large waterfall with very harsh currents. What fun this would be later. So far he'd yet to find housing, but that was of little importance. They could always build a dug out. Right now food sources were at the top of the list, and from what he could see the mountain side made way to a whole new dining menu. Fresh fish from the waters, mountain goat and big horned sheep. Mice and hare. And oh look! Paws carried him to there cliffs edge. He was given a fabulous view of the lake a few miles off, and the grazing herds. Quit a distance, sure, but it would be worth it. Nub of a tail swayed at the spectical before the pale male turned to address the rest of the group. See if anyone had stumbled apon anything of interest.
Vadimir followed after the others, though at a marked distance. He'd turn to glance at the Zodi boy, whom Nida was... supposed to be fond of? Or something, hell if he knew. Would he be joining them? When the mountain came up to engulf them on either side, Vadimir released a relieved sigh. There was no scent of humans, only air, dirt, and potential meals strewn about everywhere. This was much, much better. Not to mention the lovely breeze. With coats as thick as his and Drak's, it was always nice to have some readily available form of cooling. Higher elevations was the best answer. When he had the opportunity Vad strolled to Cinn, looking her over before frowning at the drowsy, out-of-it look she carried. Just what was going on? She'd been fine last night... "Iz zomethink vrong?" Vadimir had no interest in imparting affections as Drak had, for they weren't nearly that close yet. but he was wiling at least ask after her health... last thing he needed was to be blamed for her catching a cold thanks to yesterday's antics. Too much shit to deal with already, and not enough goddamn time!
Nida coyly set her chin across her shoulder to cast a glance back at the lightly furred young'un she suppose would follow ..? as she ambled along leisurely with the marshmellow group. Gosh, she stuck out like a sore thumb.. Figuratively and literally. Seriously, there needs to be more diversity in here. Anyway, Nida picked up her pace to catch up in discomfort she may be left behind if she wasn't precautious. She looked over toward Vad when his fret had been expressed to Cin, not exactly having the thought anything was wrong with her come in frution until now. But since one of the brothers was already on top of it, she stuck to the sidelines. Well .. not for long, per se, at Drak's suggestion to split. Again. Nida branches off to a loping stride, urinating on landmarks to assist retracing her steps, and find some place suitable for all to claim as their stay. It seemed her listless wandering wrought her here, in front of a decent place, ample place, and little worryin scents to the forest floor -- great. Her nose turns up to the air, and a premature howl resounds through the mountain.
Zodiak was beyond conflicted as he watched the group move forward. A backward glance from nida pulled him in. He wanted to follow, but at what cost? He was technically in a pack... or partnership, whatever you would call it. Raven wasn't around as much though. He supposed he wouldnt have to commit right away...but what if thats what they would want? a commitment so they knew they could trust him. Young pup paced quickly whinning to himself as the others grew farther and farther away. He snarled and snorted at the dirt before taking off after them. Something drew him to them, even the ones who seemed not so fond of him. Was this the "power of the pack?" Zodi felt like he held more of a place with nida and the others, even if at the moment it wasn't a very high one. He trailed close enough to keep them in sight but far enough away to not get in the way of the two lighter-colored males. He mostly trailed after nida's scent, feeling evermore like a stalker. oh boy. Then her howl broke through the forest atmosphere. Ears shot up and he stopped where he was inhaling deeply before he lifted his muzzle to release his own howl in response.
Cinnema marched calmly up the inclining slope, lifting head into the slight breeze as they entered the mountains. It ruffled her fluffy fur, making her smile slightly. Movement wasn't bad.. And it was going to be their home, right? Yes. Cin examined the area with calm eyes, distancing herself somewhat when there was the call to spread out. While it was spring and grass was still growing, it seemed shorter the higher the elevation went, more rocks in random formations wherever they felt like sitting. Rocks could sit where they wanted, right? Whatever. While she would've liked more grass, she could always wander down to find some to roll in. She'd probably have to, to avoid colder water, anyway. As they looked about, Cin's head turned to Vadimir's approach, tilting slightly. "Hmm?" was first response, before she blinked and focused on him. "Oh, no? I'm just, tired today." As if punctuating it, she had to make a real effort to not yawn. Pregnancy symptoms hmm, but would any of them guess? Most likely not, even she was too focused on what was going on to even think. Silly girl, Betha had told you about this stuff! She shrugged it off. "I'm fine," was her final bark, gaze shifting to looking about once more. No big deal, right? Cin's ears pressed forward, catching the sound of Nida's call, and an answer from a little further down. Zodiak? Pace picked up as she shifted in that direction, eyes scanning what had been found.
Drakov: Gaze took in the sight of thinks. He could definately get used to life along the slopes. But would nature be so humble? Nida's call suggested one or the other. Either she'd struck gold, or found a big ol pot hole right in the middle of there luxuries. Short burst of a howl ushered forth, more like a grunt but able to echo out. A simple response, before he ushered forth to meet, likely, the entire gathering and Nida's findings. Another cliff was first spotted. It was incredibly tall, steap rocks forming the side. But what lie benieth it, positioned neatly behind Nida's frame, was what he was truely interested in. Ohhoho! What have we here. Jackpot. "Mm. Fabulous work yet again, Nida." Sure he was a dick, but it didn't mean he wouldn't give praise where praise was deserved! Pfft. Nub of a tail swayed pleasantly at his rear, nostrils flaring as distance was killed. He wafted in the scene, before peaking his way into the clutter of fallen trees and rock formations. This looked as though it had been derived from a rock slide. How perfect for them. A disaster turned home. Fabulous. Lip curled in a mild smirk, before Drak did what Drak did best! Leg lifted, and a stream of piss was released! Only this time it was far more in the sense of 'claiming' than simply to warn others that they were present. This was theres now. Snort. "Mark zey surrounding area, the rest can wait until tomorrow." It was getting late after all. After marking several places, the brute would flop down several feet from the dens entrance, paws crossing and hind legs stretching out at his side. "We won't be moving again for awhile, I assume. Get comfortable." Place Welcome Home mat infront of den. Tada. Now that he was finally not overthinking everything. Not thinking about moving, about humans, about Zod, he sighed out a breath of relief. Relaxed and able to take in the scene. And of course.. Cin's condition hadn't crossed his mind in the slightest. Her tired demeanor, sure. But he simply assumed her scouting with Nida had caused it. The idea of her being pregnant had gone completely over his head. Pfft!! Frankly she could start showing and he'd just think her fat. Ohgod... He'd probubly comment too.. faceplant.
Vadimir didn't believe Cinn in the slightest. So far her wayward attitude gave him no reason to take anything she said at face value. Not to mention, he just didn't trust folks on average. Maybe if their life was in supreme danger... maybe. Nida's howl alerted everyone that a home had been found, and when all congregated to see the place and test it out, Vadimir was quietly pleased that Zodi had indeed decided to follow. Striding behind Drak Vad would drop onto his stomach, going to the business of grooming his brother roughly, teeth combing through fur to dig out fleas, ticks, and other nasties. Big bro was sickly enough as was without the chance of him catching some ill-begotten disease. Though attention was aimed at his decided task, eyes would bounce from one person to the next, following them with alacrity to ensure they weren't... breaking into song, or trying to gamble.
Nida's gaze befell on Zodi, he indeed followed the group all the way here. Big courage on his part. Her tail wags, exuberant, and nuzzles a portion of her face into his neck. She stepped back to catch Drak's praise- something she can do right for a change, and she may have redeemed herself there. Her eyes jumped to Cin next and edges ever-closer toward the she-wolf, shoving her wet nose in her shoulder softly. Yeah, wasn't behaving her usual snarky self and it worried her and the rest of them. Nida bethought, at some point, of inquiring but grew reluctant in nature. Ears fell back. " You ate something funny, eh?" Probably. If she didn't want to broach the topic and expatiate, fine -- don't. Nida would most likely go off and squat -- and then, tinkle. Rinse and repeat.
Zodiak knew his decision may lead to future problems but in this moment it was right. He'd deal with raven later. Something about the wolve's demeanor now compared to before was different. Almost like they hated him a fraction less. Hey thats progress. His eyes traveled around the small group and finally landed on nida in the moment she nuzzled into him. Zodi felt as if his chest was trying to escape--lurching from his frame. It was a good feeling. Tail swayed and he lifted his head to nip at her ear, nudging her own neck fur before moving to explore the nearby areas. His eyes shifted occationally to the other two males who seemed too preoccupied to have any interest in him. Frame would push itself into the surrounding bushes led by his nose and secretly he'd leave his mark as well. He knew eventually they'd find out but he'd rather that not be right now, besides, he had to pee.
Cinnema let her eyes wander over the area that was the new home for a minute, marveling. It was honestly a perfect place for them. And look, even some grass to curl up in, yay! Maybe, things wouldn't be too bad, hm? Cin's gaze shifted over to Nida, pausing, seeing her nuzzle this strange boy. Who was he and why was he touching her woman? Sudden attitude change, sure, but hey, she didn't know what claim they had to each other. Pale girl was hesitant when affections were offered to her, but she'd rub her cheek against Nida's neck in response, even tugging on her ear. Yes, my Nida. Really, though.. was everyone noticing her shift in behavior? She shrugged, nudging her friend as she noticed her hesitation in saying anything. "Maybe that's it?" was her soothing reply, before going off to sniff a tree and proceed to squat and mark it with her own scent. Heh. Cin would shake out her fur briefly before finding a little spot where grass was growing near Drakov and Vadimir, plopping herself down upon it. And of course, wave of drowsiness hit and she had to close her eyes and snooze; promptly falling asleep if no other distractions presented themselves. Ah, well, it was late anyway. Let the unknowingly pregnant lady sleep.
Drakov: Tail flicked a time or two, gaze lingering about those present. Though.. He continued to locked onto Zod in between. Staring hard and taking in each and everything he did. There was so much leeway to be had at the momment, he had no idea! But, it was a test of sorts. An opportunity. And a chance for everything to settle into there new home before he went about his self-proclaimed duties of keeping shit in check and up to snuff! Tomorrow. Tomorrow he'd have hell to pay, in some form or another. That was entirely dependant on his actions. Head tilted when Vadim settled down, lip curling to offer a seemingly ravenous and vicious snarl but his mildly squinted eyes suggested otherwise. A little growl echoed out before he niped and mouthed younger brothers face. Before.. He suddenly paused. Paused in order to usher words to the brute. "Derzhite glaz na nego . Yesli on vyzyvayet problemy , ubit' yego." Hopefully he'd make it to the next morning. But.. If not. Ohwell. "Get sleep. Tomorrow ve hunt." Poor Cin. She was stuck following suit, and keeping pace, as everyone was completely unaware of her current state of being. Though.. Honestly even if he knew he likely wouldn't be much different. Simply because, he wouldn't understand the concept of it dragging her down so. Limbs stretched out, and body flopped to the side. Paws extending to push against brothers frame in an awkward lay. Mmm. Time for sleep now yes?
Vadimir's eyes showed no change when Drak uttered his orders. Vadi's only response was to smile. Well, what problem was that? None. The affections between Nida and Zodi were in full view, as was most of the males every other move. Mmm... dat ass doe. Indeed, though he'd make an excellent meal or chewtoy. Vadimir would much prefer to see his fullest potential as his and Drak's brand new toy. But of course, for that to happen, they'd have to lay down the ground rules. Broad shoulders shrugged easily. That was easy enough, right? Who knows, maybe the kid would find interest in learning a thing or two! Was worth keeping hopes up, being positive, and all that. "To hunt, iz to zee vot you have to offer..." He murmured in a haunting, chanting tone. How would they perform? Did they know that every step taken was a ploy demanded by the two sadistic siblings? Maybe, possibly. Didn't seem like they'd answer willingly even if confronted. As Drak tumbled to his side to lay down, Vadimir would curl about him, happy as a piglet in poo. "My igrayem s trupami, my poyem so smert'yu. Dlya tekh, kto stoit pered nami. Osteregaytes, ili vy zakonchitsya...." He growled lustily into the air as he slowly drifted off, attention spanning them all as both warning and heartfelt (hah) sonnet was bequeathed to all present. Take it or nick it. It all ends the same.
