Aftershock
(12:06:58) Zodiak was lost, running through the darkness in a panic. He didn't feel pain, which was strange because last he remembered he was pinned beneath the bear, hardly able to breathe. The shadows he ran through soon gave way to light and in the glow of a blood moon there stood the beast upon two legs, the tall dark shadow with glowing yellow eyes and fangs that glistened menacingly. Unbridled snarl riped through his chest as he lunged toward the creature. It didn't move, it just stood there while he sunk fangs into its leg over and over again. It seemed the power behind his bite was abscent...he couldn't hurt it. Vicious gaze was sent up to the creature shadowed in a dark red fog, wondering if it was even real. For a moment it remained stationed before it looked down at him with a boistrous roar, lunging to grab him as jaws aimed to encompass his head. Everything went silent and light flooded his eye. The pain had returned along with rapid, shallow breath as he stood there in the middle of the courtyard. He wasn't even sure how he got there, what was going on? Panic struck him and breath rate increased before sharp pain caused him to collapse with a whine. He was caked in blood; some his own and some from the bear... the real bear they'd fought the previous night. Fangs were bore in pain as he struggled to lay more upright, head sinking to point nose at the dirt between paws. Confusion flooded him, was this real life? He shook his head and tried to gaze through blurred vision that slowly focused to reveal he was in fact home. How the hell did he get here? What happened last night?
(12:15:38) Nida was dead exhausted. She remained by Cin's side until Smug returned to retrieve the female alpha, and only then did she move. Nida laid with her male companion, Zod, fast asleep. She heard growling and strange shuffling not belonging to herself so she drowsily burst an eye open, peering at .. the retreating form of Zod. Her head raises slowly, the hordes of flies jumping off her open wound to return hereafter. An ear leans back, consternation full in the face, seeing Zod standing outside the den behaving not like his usual self. The woman winces as she maneuvers to a tentative stand, hindlegs wobbly and aching, like the rest of her person. Bah! She takes to a gangly gait to the opening and noses into her beloved, " hey .. hey. What's the matter?" asked she, before he whined and collapsed. Her teeth gingerly wrap around his scruff to yank him up, to correct his odd position, and then tongue at the dried blood.
(12:30:24) Vadimir lay in the den, body partially cleaned from Smug's avid attentions. Much of his wounds were scabbed over now, leaving him looking horrifically disfigured. Body twitched and twisted, his dreams turgid and indistinct. All he could feel was the steady throb of pain, the rush of adrenaline as his heartbeat quickened and he opened his uninjured eye, the other caked in proffuse levels of sleep. He gazed about, disoriented. Where was he? He stared at the ceiling for a long time, marveling at the echo's his every move produced. It took him a moment to realize he was back home in the den, and upon that comprehension set in, he stiffly rose from the ground, back legs barely registering his mental urgings. The damage they had suffered was such that he had to focus motion heavily on his upper body just to make it outside, and once there, rear end colapsed, leaving him to drag himself toward the small enclave outside of the den, and curl up. He had no words to impart, even though he saw Nida and Zod close by, very close by. He didn't know how to reach out, how to offer any form of strength, when he felt so bereft of it himself. With a subdued shudder, Tsar would lay large head upon folded forepaws, his breathing returning to semi normal as his ordeal to the outside world was over.
(12:54:17) Zodiak was lost, and yet stood right where he belonged. His mind buzzed with flashing images of the fight; the bear striking claws across his chest as he dangled from it's throat, the blood that exploded upon him, the pain upon impact with the ground. He winced, half-curling his lip to expose a fang as nida nosed into him. The action shocked him and sent pain spiraling throughout him before he collapsed in the dirt. Her fangs upon him hurt, but he held no protest against her, after all, she was only trying to help. His world seemed to come spiraling back with her presence, the pain that her grip caused shocked him into reality. Muzzle would search for her and nose into neck fur if able. He whinned, straining to lift himself more so he could reach her better. He felt terrible and eye scanned over her to evaluate the damage, gaze settling on her neck. He whined, raspy, and nuzzled into her again "I..--" the words couldn't come out, not that he couldn't say it, just his lungs wouldn't allow it comfortably. Each breath, every movement caused shooting pain in his ribs. Something was wrong. With bared fangs he fought against gravity to rise to all fours, tail stiff and bobbing for balance, while weak legs trembled as he tried to get his bearings. This was horrible, it was going to take a long time to recover... more time then they had before the pups would arrive. Hopefully by then zod wouldn't be so...incapacitated. Leaning slightly into nida he'd trail past her toward the den where vad was, wanting to check on the tsar. Gaze would shift back to see if nida was joining him before he slowly limped his way over. It took quite the effort, so when he finally did reach the tsar, frame gave out and body slumped to the dirt with a pained groan. He'd look to vad, sleu of emotions wafting over him; Worry, pain, love....Guilt...shame... This was after all his fault was it not? He wandered by himself and ran into the bear...But it was so close to the den was the event inevitable? He wasn't sure, so for now and probably always, he'd blame himself.
(13:10:59) Nida did not recoil from him even as he barred a tooth at her. Oh, quit being so melodramatic, you. Unfortunately, she had no understanding to what he dreamt of or what was going on, but downplayed the situation as a whole to prevent stress and worry from eating at her. Nida does remedy the touch to her neck, the pain searing, with a release of his neck and a side-step. Huff. She pivots to the noises emerging from the den to see Vad. He looked like a pile of bear poop. There was so much blood and injuries it was overwhelming to maintain a stoic if not tensed expression. " You what .. ?" implored, staring. Now she's curious, though no answer would come. Sigh.. She followed after Zod, of course, and lowered lethargically onto her distended stomach, growing by day and each feed. Nida glanced to them both. " Don't speak, just rest," she mumbled, " save your energy." Hrm. Where in the world is Cortez, entrusted with the task of playing sentry? Her eyes drooped with a blink. Still, she stays vigilant.
(13:34:34) Monro grunted lightly heaving her prize into Vechnyy's courtyard, pads carrying the lass towards familar faces: orbs fixed on the trio that was seemingly lazing about. As bodiance drew closer harks peeled back as their features became clear the fuck, invisible brow quirked upwards as she laid her prize at her feet "Yinz look like hell" shuffling pads before prancing over the small fawn before joining them. Orbs rolled to Vadimir flashing him a coy smirk "Your wounds need tending, may I" he cooed moving towards him offering a gentle headbutt.
(13:53:24) Cinnema hadn't been able to retain consciousness as she'd wished so desperately before Smug was able to come back to drag her to the den. Even with all that pain radiating all over her body as well as the dizziness and nausea, she had wanted to get back up and make sure everyone was okay, that everyone was safe and well and had help. But nope, she'd had time to glance over and see Vad pass out while Smug took the first person back before she fell right into the dark of her mind. There, though, there wasn't any pain. Only guilt and helplessness. Lingering feelings she hadn't been able to focus on before, but she obviously felt. She had jumped so quick to help out Zodiak without even thinking about it, saving his ass but putting herself at risk and earning some lovely deep wounds. Not a second of doubt had overcome her when the bear had bitten into her. This was what she wanted to do, give herself for the pack. And she'd do it a million times over, to be honest, if it meant keeping them safe. So not being able to, getting tossed and put out of the action was plaguing her in her sleep. Until movement long later caused her eyes to open with surprise, insant burst of pain in her head and stomach resulting from that. A few sniffs to discern who it was, though she was struggling, told her it was Vad moving. And the others had left scent here as well, which told her they had all made it. Good, she'd thought, trying to curl in on herself. It was a bit much right now, to think. To breathe. Lower ribs hurt but less than the wounds upon her stomach and side. God it was awful. At least she'd been cleaned by Smug after all that mess, or she'd probably be in a worse place still. For moments she lay there, trying to calm her breathing and get rid of the pain in her mind. Cin wanted to go outside, to see the others. But she needed a minute. After some time she'd shift position, everything screaming against the movement. Fuck that. Most of her wounds were scabbed over, minus most of the bear bites, so why not? Except, she took some time doing it. Even though it made her more dizzy she pulled herself up to her paws, swaying for a second and likely opening the bite wounds on her stomach again. NOT THAT IT WAS STOPPING HER. With wobbling steps she dragged herself to the entrance of the den, getting only about a foot out before her head was screaming again and she fell where she stood. A soft growl rumbled from her throat as she squeezed her eyes shut and tried to focus. "Fuck this," she whispered, ears flicking back to her skull. THAT DAMN BEAR. Where was it, she wanted to eat it. If it was going to hurt her and cause her to puke and writhe in pain, she was going to eat it and shit it out like it deserved. But son of a bitch she was hurting all over.
(14:15:40) Cortés had been off scouring the vicinity for any source of nourishement. He was starting to get hungry... But he didn't leave his post. Not one second. He was charged to protect the people of this territory. He even decided to patrol on occassion, to ensure that none would dare come forth to pester the people of Vechnyy. However his over eagerness was his own down fall. Cortes had refused to sleep, and exhaustion had begun to seep into his bones. He could tell something within him was changing. He wasn't his usual peppy self. He was slumped, tired...So when he somehow fell asleep behind the den, passed due to lack of energy, he wasn't at all surprised when the dawn jolted him from his slumber. His heart rate shot up as he ran toward the entry of the courtyard, his body convulsing as he noted his beat up comrads. "What the fuck."
(14:38:53) Vadimir barely took notice of either Zod or Nida, even when they approached. Not because he was trying to be a prick, FOR ONCE. But merely because he was too tired for even words to describe. There wasn't an inch of his anatomy that didn't pain him, no part of his mind that wasn't foggy and drugged by the constant ebb and flow of steady ache. He'd shuffle some away from them when they situated nearby, his face twisted. When in this sort of pain, nigh all rational thought was impossible. All you could do was act and react. And right now, the last thing he wanted was to lash out because his battered body warranted some form of release. Too bad the wild didn't have painkillers.... none nearby, anyway. Hell, Vadimir would have been fine with beign hyped up on shrooms again, if it meant he'd feel good. Delirium for relief? Seemed like a fair trade! but even so, few if any were able enough to go searching for the magical fungi. And those that were, had more urgent matters to attend. It was only when Nida spoke up, that his glazed eye refocused and he gazed at them both, noticing Zod's expression. Oh, hell no. "Und vot iz zat look for?" Despite his pain, despite how off and clouded his mind was. Voice was apt and spoken with perfect clarity. A silent nod to his years of suffering since birth. You just... learned to deal with it and keep functioning. When Cinn slumped near the den entrance, Vad tried to lift his head, but knew the effort would only be unecessary, so he dropped the effort in preference to looking toward Nida. "Go help your Tsarita..." The fatigue was more evident in his voice now, though more palpable than anything was the note of frustration. He hated being this weak. Even if it was a testament to his courage and strength. It still meant he had to hold still, that he was still vulnerable. Thoughts drifted to Smug, who had passed out beside him while in the den. He was grateful she and Nida had managed to escape serious injury during the whole fiasco. When Cortes wandered in, with his oh so timely response to their haggard appearance, Vad chuckled, even though it hurt. "More or lezz, ve got fucked by a bear. But... ze bear lozt in ze end. Vot he getz for takink on Vechnyy." Words were... oddly flirtatious, as if attempting to lure further trouble into their midst. Yeah, you wanna fuck with this pack? BRING IT I'LL FIGHT YOU WITH BOTH MY ARMS BROKEN BITCH! Mon's presence was viewed with an odd look, and when she came in for a headbutt, gentle as she tried to make it, he still growled in discomfort. AUGH WHY THE PAIN. "Tend to everyvone elze first. I'll be cleaned lazt." Pack before King, yo. Pack before King.
(15:17:51) Zodiak felt horrible and was stuck in a rut of self loathing. It wouldn't be good for him or anyone else around him to stay in such a state and he feared nida would suffer the most. He had no intentions of making her feel unimportant again, not after what happened before. Looking to her for a moment he'd aim a lick to her muzzle with a light thump of his tail. THAT seemed to be one thing on him that never got injured (Knock on wood). Attention shifted to vad, his stare forcing wave of emotions to cloud his mind. He'd sigh at his quesion, gathering muscles necesary for speach and forcing out dry, raspy voice that was drenched in the pain it caused to release, "I...I'm sorry" Head lowered, he'd elaborate more but h was sure vad would understand. His voice came at a cost for the moment until it didn't hurt to force air. Gaze would shift to the side, watching cin struggle and mangled ear twisted back. He wanted to help, it was his job but he was so disabled it made him sick. The exclamation to follow had hackles raised and head twisting toward the sound with a gurgled snarl, lips peeled back before realization it was only cort had him relax. Zod was on edge, he felt the Bear army was knocking at their front door and any sudden sound was the approach of furry onslaught. He couldn't help but chuckle at vads remark, only to wince in pain. GDI DONT MAKE ME LAUGH! Monros approach was greated with a growl, this time it wasn't his bear halucinations, he just didn't care for the wolf. hurhur. When ordered to tend to the others, zodi would creep closer to vad. It was a slow, painful process but he hoped the tsar was too disabled to shift from him because then he'd just say fuck it all and plop in the dirt. But if allowed, he'd shift until within range of vadi and gingerly lick at the tsars wounds. Zods wounds werent that bad; large lacerations that had scabbed over and in time would heal into permanant reminders of what took place that day. No his real pain was the cracked rib he hadn't a clue about, and no amount of grooming would heal that.
(15:26:48) Nida's sigh left her, eyes close momentarily. They open when Cinn reveals from the den finally to stare for a long period of time, in a profound sense of disbelief. Why she opted to leave the safety of the den to risk opening grave wounds was beyond Nida's fathoming. Her paws stretch out before her composed figure, and a long, winding yawn comes about. Her blood coated ear flicks to the return of the irritating insects. One side of her muzzle curls with an exposed fang at the licks of appeasement. Or so it was viewed in her eyes. But what is done is done, she rationalized, and the stank face abates soon after. Cortez's arrival has her looking away with the inability to explain- all of her motivation has a bit of a damper. Nida acknowledges Monro with a low growl, following after Zod's, when she headbutted the alpha. It ceases upon Vad's words. Tsarista? Snuff. She works to fours slovenly, and tetters toward Cinn, who was attended to with licks at her wounds. There was so much blood.
(15:41:11) Cinnema huffed as she laid on the ground, but quite frankly she didn't have the energy or will to move or do anything about how much she hated to be laying there. LET ME GO HELP THEM. But no, their words reached her ears and caused her to twitch, others arriving on the scene and elliciting a low growl from her throat as lips curled to fully reveal her teeth. The sounds hurt, but now that she wasn't moving it was easier to deal with and now her head wasn't spinning as much. Ear would flick at the fact that at least Vad seemed to be well enough to joke around about the situation. Jerk. And he had the nerve to say he would go last to be cleaned. Though honestly they had the same mindset about that. Not that she'd complain in her current state. Eyes would open and glance over at Nida as the woman approached, attempting to wag her tail a couple times. That part of her body worked at least. She sniffed, burning sensation at her stomach causing her to frown again. Where's dat bear meat?? Cinnema would be silent for a few moments before voice dared to call out, albeit quietly, to her friend. "How's everyone else?" she questioned, letting herself be a good patient for once and lay there still so Nida could look over her and hopefully get those annoying bite wounds to quit bleeding now that she'd moved again.
(15:56:15) Cortés blinked. The bear? He almost felt a sense of loss. He wished he could have been there, to fight along side his family... He took a look toward vad, and winced. "I wish to have helped you." His expression instantly turned sour, a small whine escaping him. He knew he was to protect those within the pack, but he just simply didn't enjoy idling by while the rest of the individuals fought for Vechnyy. However he wouldn't push the subject. They were clearly in pain, all of them. They didn't need someone complaining in their ears. So instead of speaking any more, he attended to the person closest to Cortes. At the moment, that was Nida, and Cin. He trotted toward them, nose siffing them slightly as he did so. He could smell the blood, and the foreign one of the bear. Anger ran through him, imagining their bodies being flung and bitten into. His fur along his back spiked up, but he refrained from speaking. He just worked, tongue closing in on any injury he could find not caring to give any of the women warnings. He was up close and personal for each of them, and he moved between the two woman with ease, if he was able to anyway.
(16:13:33) Vadimir had moments of flickering clarity, mind jumping from active to blank and back again. It was difficult keeping himself awake and in the present. Zod's apology was heard, and while he accepted the enormity of what he was trying to convey. Vad just.. didn't think it was worth it. The guilt, the pain. They had suffered enough as is. He had all the capability, and right, to be pissed at them. He had warned every single one of them of the potential threat, to take precautions and stick to their duties. But what good would getting angry do? Everybody learned there lesson, and that spoke many volumes, did it not? It had brought them closer, it had taught them how to operate as a team. That was the whole point of Vechnyy, yes? to overcome boundaries and limitations and strive for greatness. Vadimir heard Cinn speak, and wondered briefly if it was proper to answer. It had likely been directed moreso at Nida, so Vad kept his focus on Zod, though it soon became apparent that Cortes had gotten bit by the guilt-bug too. SIGH. With immeasurable effort Vadimir would lift his head, the motion causing a wave of sickness to suffuse his being, and he was glad his stomach was empty. "Razer zan beink zorry. Learn from your miztake und grow all ze stronker becauze of it. Ze only time you'd have anyzink to apologize for iz if you repeat zuch stupidity, if you didn't learn und continue to dance ze line of ignorance. Ze bear iz dead, und ve are alive. Let zis be a victory, not defeat. Do not let a fallen foe beat you in your shining hour, for zen you are no less a corpze zan he. Do you underztand?" Best no-nonsense voice was given, though the reply, in the form of Zod tending to his wounds, was met with a furrow of brows and a sullen exhale. These dern whippersnappers.... Vad leaned up with the intent of giving Zod a kiss on the cheek, but then his body swiftly reminded him UH HELLO PAIN?? And he quickly abandoned the effort, opting instead to nuzzle into the younger male's forearm, before once more placing chin upon paws. He hoped they'd heed his words, for it was the truth. Truth as he saw it, and truth overall. Shit happens. As long as you don't let it happen again, we gravy. SHAZAM.
(16:40:21) Zodiak struggled through his own pains as he groomed vadi, trying his best not to show it and forcibly distracting himself when cin spoke, just a long enough glance to take a break from his endevors. Tail thumped lightly before tiredly flopping back against the dirt. He tilted his head toward vad upon heart-warming speach. He was right, there was no point in feeling sorry for yourself now because the plain fact was the bear was dead. The blood that covered the majority of him was that of the bear and the pain he felt was the cost of victory. Pain that would soon subside with healing process and life would be as it was. Tail swished in the sand as vad moved to nuzzle into him. He'd gently nip his ear and replace action with more licks. The tsar always seemed to know what was best and always had the right words to make everything peachy. Slowly, he forced himself to a sit, trying to curve over right side so he could lick at his own wounds across his flank. Big mistake! The pain that shot through him was worse than he'd ever felt and sharp cry escaped despite his efforts to hide it. There was a moment of holding breath before lungs expanded and a deep intake of air was atempted followed by more short, shallow breaths to cope with the pain of the first. He wanted to move, he wanted to help the others, why did this hurt so bad?!
(16:45:10) Nida tongued across the puncture wounds where the bear's teeth found its purchase and sampled Cinn's blood inside her mouth. Some of it was old, dried and others fresh, warm. Her head lifts to gaze to the she-wolf and her expression, her own crestfallen, " I don't know much of the others' injuries, but .. considering everyone is alive and is making the effort to walk ..? it isn't too .. horrid." A tight-lipped smile was proffered to the alpha female. She felt something against her injury and causing to wince, furthermore, turn quickly - and rather regretfully- to see Cortez nearby. " You have helped. You did as you were told, and protected the territory .." it was true ..! He was aiding in ways he had not thought of yet. Then there was Vad's speech to rally them up in spirits. She remains wordless, focused on Cinn, then Zod, hearing the yelp. Eugh, this guy. " Chocolate thunder, " she breathed, " help him."

(17:10:49) Cinnema couldn't help but flinch as her wounds were cleaned, but she focused on the words offered to her. Good, good. If they were trying to walk then surely.. They were alright at least. They would all survive. She'd twitch briefly as a sore spot was touched but she kept herself still. Only for her ears to flick and strain to catch Vadimir's words even while it hurt her at the moment. She still listened and clung to every word her king chose to share, finding herself calmed a little. But not completely, as she was too fucking stubborn to believe there wasn't more she could've done. She would attempt to hold no remorse, though, if he didn't wish her to. This was a victory for them and they would have a nice big fat bear to dine on when they were well. Maybe. At least its pelt, which she did plan on claiming. A prize for her collection. Ears twitched again as Cort came over and Nida directed him elsewhere, still laying there quietly. Not like there was anything else to do. With a sigh and another twitch of pain she would raise a paw to rub over her face briefly before closing her eyes and drifting off to sleep again. Too tired to deal with this, but nor did she want to be moved if this was where her pack was. So help them if they tried, she'd wake up again and have a royal fit.
(17:26:31) Vadimir was gratified to see that his words left some positive impact on the group. SEE? His advice didn't ALWAYS suck. Hmph... just most of the time. 97% of the time. Ahem. Vad was about to tell Zod to go rest, give a weak push with forepaw if he had to, but before he could the young male erupted into an agonized cry. Startled Vad flinched, which of course hurt like a bitch. "Zod, vot..." In appearances, nothing looked amiss. The wounds were there, yes, but nothing seemed irregular or out of place. "Zod, try movink from zide to zide.. carefully." He'd pay utmost attention, should Zod choose to comply. He'd watch for a time, before carefully leaning in to press his nose against ribcage. Depending on Zod's reaction Vadimir would quickly withdraw, his face darkened. "Zomezink inzide you haz been vounded. Even ven your outside voundz heal, you zouldn't try anyzink too tedious until votever damahe ze bear did inside you iz healed." A difficult task, but it was either that, or risk worsening the injury beyond repair. When Cortes was sent over to help Zod in the business of cleaning, Tsar rumbled low in his throat, aiming to lift himself and try to offer aid. But as before, his body defied his command, stolid and refusing to bend to his whim. Goddamn it.
(17:45:44) Zodiak. The pain he felt was like non-other. He'd been beaten to near death, had his ear ripped from his skull, been ass raped, lost an eye...no none of it compared to what he felt when muzzle had shifted to tend to wounds. This wasn't right...no something was wrong. Single eye gazed at his side for a moment, seeing only the claw marks that trailed along his body. They weren't even located exactly where the pain was felt...and this pain felt deeper. He shivered through pained breaths, calming himself as he listened to vads order. Slowly he started to shift to the left, feeling the pain and wincing but not feeling it as strong as he had before. He then slowly shifted right, curving his body as he did before but much slower until he was forced to gasp and take short breath. He stopped the movements before the pain worsened and concentrated on his breathing, that is until vad's nose pressed into his ribcage. Someone might as well have shot him with the pain that followed. Unwanted reflex of loud yelp and body curling toward vad with teeth exposed to snap at his face. He didn't want to and in protest against his own actions he'd allow left leg to give out, frame dropping to the dirt in a submissive roll. All was followed by a series of pained whines while paws reached toward the tsar. This wasn't good, it couldn't be! Vad's following words set all of that in stone. Something INSIDE him was wrong. How could he fix what he couldn't see. Body trembled from pain as he lay there at the tsars paws, eye clenched shut as mind focused on calming down and relaxing muscles that while tight, caused him more pain. He'd let out a slow sgh and remain where he was, having had enough of this hurt for one day.
(17:54:06) Nida's tail swung like a pendulum Hooray. She looked back over to Vad as he began to explain moving, and her eyes grew taut, uncomfortable. But she won't go out of her way to pester and push it, as she was confident he, whatever it is, was with good of the welfare of Zod. Nida returns to Cin once more who passed out. At least she won't bother durping around and put herself through more stress. Smart. Onto the ground she went, head placed on top of one nearby paw, exhausted herself. A huff was made hearing yelps from behind her despite not moving to inspect. " Just .. sleep .." like she'd advised earlier. Gawsh, no one listened. These hardheads.
(18:20:45) Ammir body ached after the fight he'd had, blood still stained the males face and neck as he'd not chosen to leave the rocks yet. Thankfully he didn't bleed much more, even though it was a head wound and those bled like a bitch. It had stopped not to long afterwards, the blood doing it's job and clotting the site. Ah how happy he was to have that bleeding over and done with now. YEt the pain of it would still throb, and create a headache as everything sounded completely different then before. It was a bit harder for him to hear things out that side.. Well great, one working ear. This was going to be interesting. Right ear would twitch and flick forward as he'd notice the Vad and Cinn come back with harsh wounds. Oh damn, and there wereanother two that were helpping clean and take care of them. What the hell had happened to cause all this damage? With a grunt and sore shoulders boy would lift himself up, tongue moving over his cut lip. LEast he'd ripped the bitches leg open.. or so he'd hoped he'd done, but he'd watched her and she hadn't limped at all which was odd to him honestly but eh. Male would notice she wasn't around this time and would slowly climb down the rock side and came to vad and them with a tilt of his head. "What happened to ya'll?" he'd ask curiously.
(18:36:44) Vadimir frowned when confirmation was exacted. Well shit... Zod wouldn't be in fighting condition for a while. Of course Vadimir couldn't properly gauge the level of internal damage. Pfft, he was no doggy doctor! But he knew any internal injury was far more difficult to fix than an external one. But Zod had yet to cough up blood, so hopefully... no, not hope. Vad would ensure he got through the other side of things. He'd make sure all of them did. The bear wasn't going to have any satsifaction, not even after death. Vad would jerk back when Zod reacted as he did, but he knew perfectly well why it happened, and thus he surveyed the submissive roll with calm eyes. "I know you don't vant to hear zis, but Nida's right.... ze more ve rezt, ze quicker ve vill heal." Really, Vad was having toruble maintaining some amount of wit. Nothing made you more tired than having to heal from wounds. Even more so when it was as numerous as theirs. But he couldn't sleep, not until everyone has been tended first. He was glad Cinn had passed out... he'd have probably had to forcibly knock her out, otherwise. And he could think of a few folks who wouldn't take kindly to such machinations. Speaking of... head shifted about, but he couldn't catch hide nor scent of Hadlee. She'd escaped danger... or so he presumed. His feelings toward her were still pretty frigid, and the idea of her dying to the bear didn't bother him half as much as it would have had it been anyone else in her place. Ammir's sudden presence popped Vadimir's thought bubble and forced him to look up at the male, even as the Tsar shifted to move closer to Zod and offer what comfort he could via presence, while attentions focused on the now one-eared canine... when did that happen?? "Ze bear ve had been trackink. It attacked Zod, und ve all rushed in to help. Zis iz the end result." He didn't care to drag it on. Vad had never cared for overlong chatter, even less when he felt like utter shit. he'd flop down, choosing to lay his head on Zod's back leg, if given allowance to do so. "Ze corpse iz at ze vater's edge, if you vant to take zome und eat. Only," And here Vad's voice became imperious, dangerous, and vehement all in one go, deepening to anear constant growl even with his recuperating liability. "You better bring fud to all thoze injured first, before you DARE take anyzink for yourzelf." Like Cortes, Vad didn't blame Ammir for not being around for the fight. Can't help when other duties make it impossible for you to be everywhere at once. But he wasn't about to let anyone who hadn't suffered injury merely lay about and reap the spoils of others hard work. He would likely die in the effort, but he would choke any bitch who tried.
(18:57:22) Zodiak felt cripled to say the least. Something inside was injured and he hadn't any idea how to fix it, all he knew was that it hurt like hell. Now he lay belly up before the tsar, listening to his words in reference to rest. He sighed, finally giving in to his own stubborness. Slowly he shifted to get comfortable, keeping close to vad before another voice rang out. Head would crane around with a low growl, cut short by pain in his chest and finalized with a quiet whimper. He wasn't sure who that wolf was, someone he hadn't met yet. hmm... how many more were there that he'd yet to meet? he hoped that was the last of them. Zod was in no mood for strangers. With a sigh he'd scoot closer to vad and flop down in the dirt. His body remained outstretched as curling up had been a trigger for his pain. Eye stared ahead at nida who lay curled with cin and tail thumped a couple times before body settled into relaxation. He listened to the conversation going on but once vad's head was rested on his leg it was all over--Comfey mode activated. Zod would groan quietly and slowly take on the task of getting much needed rest.
(19:02:49) Nida let loose a droll huff after a sharp intake of breath. Her eyes were becoming heavy, and the more she fought to stay awake, the more somnolence was winning. It pained her to resort to sleep when the injuries weren't as grave as the rest, but the toll of her condition altogether is a little too much to bear. Her eyes do, fortunately, jump open to slowly close at Vad's statement. She is -indeed- right. Bwahahaha. Boy, what a boost in ego- she needed that, thanks. Nida smelt someone nearby, and her first instinct was to react and ask questions later; however, upon another strain, she picked up scents of others and immediately relaxed. Vad addressed him, and therefore must be apart of the pack. " Just give me a tiny amount.." For some strange reason she isn't peckish as wonted, or while half full. Hnnnnnng.
(19:14:01) Ammir head would bob as he listened to Vad speak. "Well damn, that thing did a number." he'd speak out eyes scanning over all the bodies then looking off into the direction of the bear. "Alright, what parts of the body would you like?" he'd ask as he turned his head back to vad then looked to Zodiak as he started to fall asleep the moment Vad layed his head on the others leg. WEll this was new to him as well but then again when injured having someone there to help tend your wounds was nice.. That Ammir didn't have at all as was noticeable with the blood that stained his brown fur on his face. Deep breath would be taken and let out slowly and silently in a 'I have no friends' quiet sigh. To Nida's words he'd smile slightly to her and nod. "Ok i can do that, do you have a prefrence on type?" male would ask curioulsy, head tilting as the one ear would flick forward in his curiousity. Once answered he'd bow his head to them, believing the other two to be pretty high ranking as well from the way they were all together, and he'd runn off torwards the bear and grab as much as he could for them. Having peeled off some of the pelt to use to put all the meat in so he could drag it back without dirtying the fresh meat he grabbed off the beast. Most of it was for them, the wounded and a small slab of meat was for him, but if they ate that as well, that was fine, he'd just grab another small piece for himself later on.
